For all you naysayers.... Oden ranks #35 in the league in TOTAL offensive rebounds this season and he has done this despite missing 19 games! Oden grabbed 11 rebounds in his last 18 minutes of play. Oden averaged 13.7 ppg, 11.0 rpg, 3 bpg, and shot 73% from the field in his last three games. Oden is just getting started. Doubt him at your own peril.
Just read something on Hoopshype that says he is going on the road trip but he might not play. It said that he has not even sprinted full court yet. I say he takes his time, we have a playoff spot so ifwe waits a bit more and comes back healthier I am all for it.
Thank you, Eric. You've changed my mind and convinced me to give Oden a chance. I wish I had not given up on him based on his uninspiring per-game numbers and instead that I had, like you, understood that fouls were limiting his minutes and he was an impact player when he was on the floor.
You're like Guy Pearce in Momento. You wake up, and have absolutely no idea what you posted previously.
I think KingSpeed just got a bit emotional in the moment, but sometimes thats part of being a fan. I just love seeing Oden on the court, as the "talking ball" group was saying last night it just makes the games so much more entertaining. Sometimes we see the dominant Greg and sometimes we see the raw undeveloped rookie, you don't quite know what you'll get. I hope he comes back soon but more importantly I hope he comes back healthy. I'm going to try to appreciate the time he is playing for us because with these 7 footers bodies sometimes we forget how precious those times will be.
