A friend from another site posted this deal, it's the only realistic deal I've seen involving Garnett where we wouldn't have to give up Pierce.Celtics Receive:Kevin GarnettBracey WrightTWolves Receive:Al JeffersonRaef LafrentzTony AllenDan Dickau2 1st Round Picks
Haha guys we're not getting him, there's no one who would rather see him on our team more than myself, he's my third favorite player and I would do anything to get him; but it's not happening.

He's clearly not going to get anything done there and McHale and Ainge have a had a history of being really good friends. McHale needs to do what Boston has done the past few years, make some really nice draft picks and build up their team with solid young guys. Not rely on ricky davis, eddie griffen, and mark blount. This deal would give him two first rounders, AL J, and TA. I could see a deal like this happening.
Garnett is probably leaving the Timberwolves, I'm not arguing with that. If he is going to be traded though, then almost every team in the NBA will be trying to make an offer for him, and I'm sure some can offer more than we can. Who's the best player in that deal? Al Jefferson? I think they'll want at least an all-star in return for a former MVP.
I dunno, an all-star would be nice in return for Garnett but I think McHale will be looking for some draft picks. What all-star PF would get traded for Garnett? Jermaine O'Neal? seriously, you make a good point, any chance of J O'Neal going to Minn?
I guess it could happen, but I don't think the Pacers are unhappy with him. They may not get a PF in return, but at least an all-star caliber player.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Best Fits for Kg that i heard was L.A and Chicago</div>Chicago doesn't make any senes, who would they give up, ben gordon and mike sweetney?? They don't have enough for Minnesota to give up KG. I could see LA (lakers I'm assuming), something like Odom, brian cook, smush, and a pick for garnett....something like that.

I believe he will finish his career as a TWolve.</div>haha, are you serious?? He's miserable right now. It's obvious he wants to leave.and as for we "can't trade our entire starting line-up for KG", that's completely wrong, considering this year Paul Pierce has been a a better player.EDIT: and to comment on the topic. It's a pretty good idea, but i really don't think Minny wants to just trade rosters with us, so if there's any chance at all of KG coming to Boston, there'll have to be a third team involved. Otherwise, i don't think he's coming here. BUT, i don't think they'll need an all-star in return. I think Big Al would actually be on their list for players they would want in return.
That is ridiculous, do you really not think that Minnesota would trade Garnett for Pierce? Of course we could get him.
You guys exspect to get KG without adding Pierce. KG is a pretty recent MVP. You gotta throw some legit players if you want to see him on your roster
I know which is why I'm saying it won't happen, but Paul did have a better year than Kevin did, and you guys aren't giving our roster enough credit. We have some great young players which we could offer.
Garnett's stock definately has gone down a little bit, he was MVP two years ago Lazy...he's averaging 21 points a game, Pierce is averaging 27
This is just my personal opinion but KG is a career underachiever. I would rather have Pierce any day. Even if the C's could aquire KG w/out losing Pierce I'm not sure I would like it.
I disagree there completely, I think he just need a new environment with a team that wants to win around him.

I think if Minny could pick up some solid veteran role players and a new coach this offseason he might stay and win. His contract makes it hard to get an even trade, so if they end up moving him I think it will be like Shaq's deal to Miami. I just don't think the C's have the pieces to do that, it would have to me a multi team deal most likely.
I just dont think there will be a trade like this to get KG..It would have to involve another star.. I think thats what Minny's looking for..
