    What a joke

The NBA used to make rules to make the game harder for certain stars, like Wilt and SHAQ. Now Stern's bending his back over to accommodate Lebron and his traveling. Marketing propaganda FTW

There is hope that it is not complete appeasement from what I read.

I think they're trying to get their refs to call all traveling the same and in a consistent manner since there seems to be some confusion. It might be a simple clarification of the rule, not just bending over for Bron.

If I am incorrect then this is wack. :[

This is a joke. NBA players are so athletic, that one step is such an advantage already. This is going to be ridiculous when they get two steps in.

LeBitch wants two steps, they'll give him two steps. Anything for the golden boy.

it's always been two steps. they've always called two steps. don't pretend like this is something new. if you were asked what a travel was in basketball, you would say taking more than two steps. no matter how the rule was written, two steps has always been the actual rule.

in regards to the lebron "crab dribble", the case with is most "famous" in which it came up was a travel. but had his feet come down at the same time instead of at separate times, it would have been perfectly legal. the case in which it came up and he said "oh that's just my crab dribble", the travel call was absolutely justified. in most cases though, he's able to execute it where it is absolutely legal.

Good. If they're never going to call it, then they should just get rid of it. It's stupid to have a rule that means absolutely nothing.

I'm not sure what people are complaining about. The NBA is just clarifying what was very confusing wording in the rule book regarding traveling. It will have minimal impact on the game itself, I bet.

I can't imagine it having too big of impact immediately, considering most players already play a certain way and have certain moves they utilize, they're not going to change these up just because of a rule change.
