Ok, now we can add San Antonio to the long list of opposing cities that have cheered MVP for Kobe (including Boston, New York, care to add more?)

But my question is, why don't other players like Wade, LBJ, etc get it? Are people slowly falling in love with Kobe's smooth game? Are they showing him the Love after a couple of years of pure hate? LOL

It really is intriguing to see all those rival cities cheering M-V-P for a guy that is only considered the 3rd best MVP candidate this year

Well a lot of the chants are from Lakers' fans. However, they he still gets the chants that he deserves.

LBJ has always stated that Kobe is the best in the game.

Wade stated at the allstar break that the MVP is between LBJ and Kobe, and that it's basically gonna be a flip of the coin.

It's more so the media than anything, but who cares. If finishing last in the MVP voting fires up Kobe for the postseason and gives him extra motivation, then I hope he finishes last. Actually I hope he is completely left off of the ballot.

Kobe's MVP chant in Boston was 2 years ago, when we were the 2nd worst team in the league. It was late in the season when we were tanking for more ping pong balls and a chance at Oden/Durant.

They were still in Boston :]

I guarantee you'd never see a Celtic getting MVP chants in LA

I've heard "Let's go Red Sox" chants in Anaheim, close enough.

Besides, there were more people booing the MVP chant than there were people chanting it.

I'll give you 100 dollars if you can name the 5 players on the court for the Celtics when Kobe got his MVP chants.

His point is the you can hear chants for anything anywhere. I'm a Steelers' fan, those fans are everywhere and you see the towels. Chant happen everywhere where a fan base travels well.

Yep, and it's really easy for a fanbase to take over the home stadium of a really bad team. Why would Celtics fans want to pay to see a team tank games for draft position? They were giving tickets away to those games, the only people amped up for them were fans of the opposing teams.

Also, the Red Sox and Angels have played a lot more meaningful games in the last 20 years than the Lakers and Celtics have.

Not sure why you edited it. I say that because you know he meant against each other. Celtics/Lakers not Lakers/??? or Celtics/???. Not each team on their own.

haha I was thinking the same thing. You might be giving him too much credit by assuming he understood what I meant, though.
