    IU went almost 13 minutes without a field goal and they just reached 22 points with 16 minutes left in the 2nd half. They are still only down 17.

    Final possession defender. Means he's a great one-on-one defender and he can (likely will) stop the other team's best player on the last possession.

    He meant Kobe can be great defensively for any single possession. It's a way to call someone who isn't a great defender "great" somehow. Lots of players can be great defensively for one possession, if they put their focus and energy into it. Being able to do it all game, or most of the game, is what makes someone valuable defensively.
