hate to be a downer, but he is right, if we lose to memphis tomorrow, hello 0-5 We ALWAYS play poorly in Indy, no chance in hell to beat Cleveland, and the Bucks are tough at home this year...Memphis or bust imo
Actually, I think Mixum is right. We've been very poor on the road, and we're playing some tough home teams. Mr. Glass really needs to get his ass back on the court.
Another ugly loss to a team the Blazers should be able to hang with. Is it my imagination, or are the Blazers a worse road team now than they were early in the season?
Nope. They've lost 7 out of their last 9 on the road. And one of those came after Chris Paul got hurt, and the other was against the Twolves. The team doesn't know how to win on the road (but apparently fans think just bringing in a "vet" will solve that).
The mark of a good, up-and-coming young team. The Chicago Bulls of the mid to late 80s were awesome at home and terrible on the road. I'm not worried. The Blazers will make the playoffs. And that's been the goal of this season all along.
I' honestly not sure we win another road game the rest of the season..our bench just doesn't bring it on the road..maybe if GO comes back healthy we can but damn...
Did Batum have fouls or something? I had poor IT reception so do not know. i agree that you try something else if if is not working the way we are playing it.
Batum had a pretty lousy defensive game vs. Johnson. Although, to be honest, Joe Johnson had a fantastic game regardless of who was guarding him.
Me either. I don't like losses but the team is young and losses on the road are one of the barriers. Vince Carter, Luol Deng, Gerald Wallace or Richard Jefferson isn't going to all the sudden make these guys play with the same tenacity that they do at home (most of the time). A veteran wouldn't hurt, but he wasn't going to all the sudden show them how to win. They need a guy who's been on a winning team to do that.
The game was over anyway. He's resting Joel for the next game. Our defense is sliced bread when he's out of the lineup. That's why we really need to get Oden back.
The score was 67-81 at the 8:18 mark when he left. Then they started cutting us up inside and extended the lead to 20.
