Blazers are on the brink of going into the playoffs. RG has been making money this season with back to back sellouts. Why isn't the Blazer Organization happy with bringing MLS and now they will be unhappy if Merrit brings AAA baseball near the RG? Come on, doesn't the RG wanna bring in more concerts, Rodeo shows, Sportfights, etc when they know that MLS is in town and AAA baseball is right next door? Don't we want the RG area to be profitable with other business, creating, jobs if multiple things are going on in the Rose Quarter?

P.S. Moderators I meant "MLS owner in Rose Quarter". Can you change please.
P.P.S Moderators I spelled Issac wrong. It should be "Isaac".

Maybe they want to be the only game in town? Or if a team does come in, they'd probably want control over the team for cross-marketing shit.

Well we do have the http://www.whl.ca/ Portland Winterhawks (15-21 age amateur league hocky) but they have been doing shitty for the past 3 years (less than 25 wins per season). Attendance has been down the drains for them. We do have the indoor professional lacrosse team, Portland Lumberjax 2006+ current (www.portlandjax.com) that have been doing decent with attendance (better than the winterhawks) but I don't see why J. Isaac is having such an issue with an another competitive sport. Soccer is from April to September so I don't see the big problem and how it relates to the NBA season.

The Blazers want to run the redevelopment of the Rose Quarter. PA has been trying to buy the Amazon grain elevator for years.
