How did Al Horford look in the game yesterday? Because I am totally okay with not taking Durant, even if Oden never plays another game, because I think he's fool's gold (see this thread for why), so if there's a player I have to regret passing on in favor of a lemon, it would be Horford.

He is a good hustle player that every team would love to have. Very solid. Will he be a "star"? i didn't see it.

I like Horford but he's not on the level of Durant. Al kinda reminds me of a young Brian Grant.

he is almost 23 averaging 11.5/9/1.5 in 33 mpg 2.77 fouls per game
oden is barely 21 averaging 9/7.2/1.2 in 22 mpg 3.91 fouls per game

the only thing holding back oden imo is his fouls. if he played last year and got the superstar treatment there is no doubt in my mind he would be a 15/12 player right now.

Yep. He's not big, athletic, or skilled enough to stand out in any one way.

A very good piece to put around superior players, but not a superior player.

Horford would be a nice asset to have, but he is not as good as KD.

It's funny how quick people are to make excuses for Oden, while refusing to cut Durant any slack at all. He has worse team-mates than Oden, last season had (arguably) the worst coach in the league, was forced to play out of position, and now (gasp!) has his own injury problems. But hey.....Durant is a bust, while Oden just needs patience!

If only some people had the BRAVERY to stick their necks out and just SUGGEST that he might not be the second coming of the messiah. Are there any out there with the balls to do that? Anybody going to take shots at Teflon Greg?

Are you visiting from Bizarro world?

Amazing that when he goes down his teammates aren't so bad! What are the chances?

Ooh - five posts too late.

You could've also had "Jamaal Magloire".

I actually agree. But this is a Blazer board, and the responses are expected.
