I am 99% positive that there will be no alcohol sales allowed in the Rose Garden as a part of the tourney. Even at the Pyramid Tap Room. I thought I saw a couple posters on here were planning on meeting up for a beer at the Tap Room on Thursday before the first session. Just a head's up. Might want to plan a different meeting spot. -Pop
i'm guessing this is going to be like watching a midget WWF fight from back in the day. two guys slapping at each other over the spelling of your vs you're. they can't ban alcohol at that "the game" (or whatever it's called) restuarant in the quarter can they? i'm guessing that place is going to make a lot of money off liquor sales this weekend. and it can't be worse than when i went to Sacramento for the tourney, as ARCO is in the middle of a cow pasture and there were no bars/restuarants all that close. we ended up at a pizza place that had just opened and they were not ready for the rush of people associated with an event like the tournament.
There is no alcohol sold inside of the arena. Same thing as in Seattle, and the same thing as in Spokane when I went to both of those NCAA subregionals. It's pretty much for hoop junkies only, which is why I actually like the fact no booze is sold onsite. Also, there will be a fight, but it will be a pillow fight, and the pillows will be made of foamy synthetic materials and not feathers, because feather pillows have those pokey ends that stick outside the pillow case at times, and that could potentially put out an eye.
