Yeah I'm looking at schools around me. SEC schools, Big 12, etc. I would rather go to a big school and one that actually has life around it, not a school like Memphis.
I haven't seen the Jim Cramer/John Stewart stuff here yet. But Jon Stewart is a great pillar of journalism. Here, my economics class had two professors. Four days a week, it was one of the economics professors, the other day, it was a business journalist. On one day, the journalism teacher was talking about how she was advising these people to buy stocks, and then was giving her advice to the class. Then the next day, in the econ portion of the course, we started looking at the stock market and investments. The professor said number one rule about buying stocks, don't trust the experts.
Missouri, Texas, and maybe Colorado are the only places I would really look at in the Big 12. I couldn't imagine living somewhere like Oklahoma or Kansas. Don't know much about the SEC schools. I just visited some Big 12 and Big 10 schools, and then Milwaukee and Columbia.
I erased my Facebook because it slowed down my computer and I never got on. All those "social networking" sites are stupid to me.
I count 4 guys being promoted to producer. Was the GM position canned or something? EDIT: no Vinyard's still green another edit: Make that 7 guys. Whats the occasion?
I agree with the new facebook design sucking. This is the first real bad update to facebook. And social networking sites are good, especially when you move 500 miles away.
Agreed, I don't use any of them or Twitter, which is really nothing more then texting over the internet.
I love Spring, we get tons of storms here and starting on Friday (the first day of spring) we are scheduled to get a 5 straight days of them.
That sucks, it's beautiful here. It's supposed to rain tomorrow, but that's the only day it's supposed to rain. I have a philosophy midterm tomorrow. I'm not too worried, because it's an essay exam, and I synthesize my thoughts in essays better than most people can. I need to re-read good portions of the philosophers (Descartes, Lucretius, Sartre, Searle, Fodor, and Clark) because nothing really sticks with me with this philosophy thing. This class is so irrelevant to what I will be doing in anything going forward, but the professor is a very nice guy. Good thing is that in the Lucretius book, all of his points are in italics, and in my Searle book, the previous owner highlighted stuff. Going to have to find an online summary of Sartre's points I assume. Will just go through Descartes' meditations because they're short, and the Fodor/Clark stuff too, since it's in a moderate sized article. Tomorrows going to be a bitch though. Full day of classes. Russian quiz, and then Philosophy midterm to cap the day. Going to have to study throughout the day for the Philosophy midterm. Then I have like a mini break, in which I will need to read some of this FDR book I have to read for Thursday, which I have about 140 pages left in, so I'm ready for a history quiz on Thursday. That's while working from 7:30-11:30, and having to watch the Bulls/Thunder game after work. FUCK.
