What's going on, why isn't Boston winning? I need the Celts to pull this one out to help the Knicks in the standings.
Salmons is a lot better than I thought he could be. That trade is looking more lopsided every day. The bulls gave up their eighth man and salary cap relief for a starter at either the 2 or the 3.
Well, not having KG, Powe, Big Baby, Scal and Tony, sucks big time and is the major reason why we're losing all these games. The Bulls played tough, no doubt about that, and thank Miller and Salmons for winning the game.
Good thing we held 'em to only 121 points. Great defense by the gang tonight. Or maybe it proves it helps to score more than the other team.
I can't tell if you're serious or not. The only thing the Celtics were vulnerable to in this game was injury.
Vinny actually outcoached Doc Rivers tonight. Putting in Brad Miller, instead of going small to match the Celtics was what secured us the game. The 7' footer just seems to always get a lot of rebounds over a shorter guy, even if the shorter guy is more athletic and trying really hard to get the rebounds. Celtics were kind of screwed with the Powe/Garnett injuries, and Moore fouling out, which forced them to have only Perkins as a big. But that was the hand the Celtics were dealt, and Vinny took advantage of it. I thought Boston should have kept Perkins in down the stretch. You need at least one big man in the game if you want to win in the NBA.
No kidding. I was disappointed with Doc for going small. That cost us the game completely. Miller owned the paint and your guards were able to drive to the basket with no shot blockers nearby. The worst part was that Pierce was playing center with 5 fouls.
That John Salmons and Brad Miller trade is so ridiculously lopsided. Salmons is the real deal. I'd imagine Deng's done in Chicago. You don't pay $80 million for a backup.
It's funny but that was used to happen to the bulls all the time when they went small. It's the offensive boards that the bulls got that killed the Celtics. Perkins was just pounding Noah into the paint and making layups and the bulls didn't force the tempo like they did in the first quarter. I fully expect the bulls to look bad in losing tomorrow night though.
Doc flipped out on the ref that tossed him at the end of the game. He said it was the most unprofessional behavior from a ref he's ever seen. I guess the ref stared him down after the timeout and Doc looked at him and said "what?" so he tossed him.
I don't know if I buy that. It looked like a premeditated ejection by Rivers. An "I can't believe we blew this one to this team" ejection.
How did we not go small? Gordon 36.5 minutes Rose 35 minutes Hinrich 36 minutes Salmons 43 minutes That's 4 guards, and the first 3 had to be on the court together for about 12 minutes (whole quarter)
Well, mostly because the C's went even smaller, so the bulls were relatively big. VDN had Miller at the 5 in the fourth where Doc had Paul Pierce. Miller was the difference on the offensive end. If VDN had wanted to matchup, he would have put Tyrus in to guard Pierce, which they tried a few times but didn't stay with.
