For as much crap as Quick takes on this board and others, the guy does seem to have the trust of the team he is covering. That's a farily remarkable feat when you consider that he doesn't always write postive articles about the team.

I think Jason Quick has really been stepping up his 'game' lately, he seems to have retained his ability to touch on the personal side of things while reducing his tendency to inject his own feelings and place himself inside the story as a major actor.

    Good stuff.

His writing has changed lately. He is doing less analysis of the team from his view, and more of "telling stories", which in my opinion, seem quite entertaining. Keep it up, hopefully.

Yeah, he definitely has seemed to have developed a good relationship with the players. The players probably know he's got a job to do, and don't take it personally if he writes something negative or know that Quick won't run and hide from it all.
Quick's got a gift of good story telling, and I'm glad he's able to show it off. These behind the locker room pieces are the best things he's ever written since he's been the beat reporter.

I think he's changing his writing style to prep for a book. I'll be first in line to buy it.
