Magic number falls to 8 I think.

    So down the stretch:
Blake, Roy, Nicolas, LMA, Joel, and bring Greg, Travis and Rudy in off the bench?

    Works for me.

when i went through the standings and stuff of all the 9 teams playoffable in the west i had POR being 4 seed... i might be a blind homer but i had them going 10-3 realistically its probably 8-5

Actually that is what they were saying. And the reason we had so much young talent is that we have gathered draft picks for the last 15 years. But seriously I think it was just a slip. They both were very complimentary to the Blazers. I will give them a pass on that one. They were one of the least "homer" announcers I have heard this year.

Hopefully Rudy will play his way out of this funk he is in.

8-5 is certainly within the realm of possibility and would roughly approximate their overall winning percentage for the season -- The hot start to the season has really saved their asses.

Blake and Pryzbilla were studs on this trip. Blake's D on Mo Williams, Conley and Sessions was impressive.

Think you need to add Sergio or Bayless. How Sergio played tonite might be him.

Solid win tonight - if you ignore the 1st half.

LMA was off tonight, which is understandable. Fortunately, Blake went nuts in the 2nd half to cover for him.

Brandon was his usually consistent self and Priz played a very good game.

Oden looked uninterested. Sergio was fun to watch, but had too many untimely TOs.

3-2 on this road-trip, with a close loss to Cleveland in OT, is not too shabby.

Sergio getting 3 assists was nice, but he had 3 pretty awful turnovers and Bayless just doesn't look ready for prime time.

Who knows what Nate will do down the stretch, but if he really does reduce everything down to an 8 man rotation (which has been a stated goal of his) then I'm guessing the two backup point guards are going to have a much harder time justifying their presence over Travis, Greg and Rudy.

I don't see us going without a backup PG. That's begging to run Roy into the ground. Same with a 8 man rotation. We need at least a 9 man rotation IMO.

Well I know Sergio will get minutes Monday night. Watch a replay of the last two games in Philly for why Roy will not be bringing the ball up the court against their full court press. (not that he won't help)

They also said Rudy broke a rookie record and made 33 straight 3s. Later they corrected themselves and said he made a 3 in 33 straight games, "which is still pretty good."

I thought Rudy fell one short? Or was it he tied it and didn't break it? I guess that's the same thing.

I don't get everyone's problem with playing Roy so much. He's a damn superstar, he should get those minutes. And it's not like he doesn't want to play either. Sure, he's had some injury scares in the past, but all superstars do. Wade, Kobe, and LeBron have to play long minutes as well if they're not blowing the opposing teams out.

I don't have a problem with it either. Roy has gained a lot of muscle since his rookie year and is built to play an NBA season. The guy plays at a pace where its not really that hard on his body. If it were up to me, Brandon should play 42 minutes a game depending on the score.

Actually, the Blazers have played fairly consistently throughout the season- they haven't had a losing month and if they go 3-1 in the next four games, then they will match their 11-5 November record in March (which gave them a 12-6 start). I don't think a hot start saved their asses- they were 8-6 at one point. I think it's been a consistent effort.
