Assuming the suns lose 2... which at this point looks iffy if im being honest... the blazers will need 6. I underlined 4 games "i think the blazers win" but finding 2 more is not easy. OKC at home is gonna be a final minute type game. vs Phoenix Suns vs Memphis Grizzlies vs. Utah Jazz at Oklahoma City Thunder at Houston Rockets at Memphis Grizzlies at San Antonio Spurs vs. Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Denver Nuggets
The Suns will lose their next two games. I'm just being honest. How are your Lakers looking for the best record in the league?
Well obviously if the Suns are going to lose their next 2 games, that means that's one more win for the Blazers. The Blazers WILL beat the Suns. The Blazers will also beat the Jazz or Lakers at home, if not both. It's the truth.
Why are you guys still worried about the Suns? If your confident in your team and know they're good, you'll realize that the Suns haven't been a threat all year long, especially after losing Amare.
Suns aren't a threat to anyone but the Mavs, so go ahead & root for your division rival that's ahead of you in division standings.
Blazers would have to have a complete meltdown for the Suns, even Dallas to catch them, it's not armageddon
i changed the quote just incase anyone with mixum on ignore accidentally clicked on this thread. but it still basically says the same thing. there are really only two games that the blazers appear likely to lose. the road games against the rockets and spurs. there is no reason to expect the blazers to lose home games to all of the suns, jazz, lakers, and nuggets.
Slumping how? They lost 2 games in OT to CLE and PHI. Roy had his worse game of the season. Our players are beat up but getting better. We will be fine and in the playoff.
I certainly wanted to hear Mixum's opinion because they are always a.) well thought out, and b.) effectively presented I trust everyone else feels the same way
I agree that the team is unlikely to lose ALL of those games at home, but I would not be at all surprised if we lose two games of those four. In fact, if we win three I'll be rather shocked. Where MIXUM's argument fails, IMO, is that if the Suns win all but two games, they will deal at least three losses to other teams ahead of them (Utah, who they play twice, NO, and Houston)... that helps Portland indirectly. Hollinger has the Blazers at 98% likely to make the playoffs, and that sounds about right to me--although the math is pretty complicated so I'm not sure that "gut level" reaction is very valuable.
