    No, not at all.

    Had to find an American who took care of everything immediately.

    The outsourced dude wasted 20 minutes of my precious time when he could have just said "I'm useless, let me connect you to a real person".

    US techs are similarly as bad, they have the same scripts until you get to a level 2 tech (or whatever they call it).

    I still need to replace my screen. I have decided to buy a compatible replacement LCD and replace it myself, that way I can save a few bucks (like $250 for a new screen from Gateway and $300-500 to get it installed). I would have had Gateway fix it but it's no longer under warranty and it was technically my fault, indirectly mind you, but still mine so they would have made me pay to fix it even if it was under warranty.
