Your claim that "every poster on this board has harasses him all the time" while eloquent, is flat wrong in a few ways. The Mods here (including Ed) have had to edit countless personal attacks on him because attacking posters is against the simple rules we have here, and it's their job to enforce them. It's almost always the same few posters doing the attacking filled with delusions that they're speaking for the masses. Those same few attack even when he posts tame musings about the team. I'm sure they get tired of the same stuff over and over from the usual suspects.

It's not all of us by a longshot.

My point is, I've seen people talk a lot more smack about him than what Darizzle did. My other main point is that Mixum never responds when people tell him he's a dipshit, because he's a gimmick poster. My point about whether everybody or half the board rips on him any chance they get was actually a simple case of hyperbole, add in the fact that I was in a rush and didn't proof read my post and bingo, you have a simple typo that shows that I'm not eloquent

 

Would it be deserved if I started bumping a certain poster's draft the stash threads and pointing and laughing on a regular basis at how hilariously wrong their condescending posts were in hindsight? I personally recall being called a dipshit and a lot of other names for not foreseeing Adam's brilliant NBA career... am I justified in calling that poster similar names or do the rules apply? What if several on the board started mocking that poster as a closet Laker fan in response to any post they made because Adam now wears purple n piss? If several on the board are mocking that poster, it's okay right?

Of course not. It doesn't matter why a poster might not like another or whats been said in the past, the rules still apply. Sure the mods don't catch every violation, but that doesn't signal it's open season on that poster. How about instead of trying to justify an exception to the rules, we respect each other, save our unpaid mods the drama and talk some hoops? Do they really need to escalate things and suspend some posters who can't abide by our simple rules? I'm sure the mods and the vast majority of the board would appreciate it if we could exercise a little self policing here.

Yes, if that certain poster started threads(as in not posts) constantly about their personal opinions about the team rather than making threads with newsworthy information. Thats asking for an "I told you so"

 

Honestly? Mixum is nothing more than a skilled troll. He does just enough to PURPOSELY annoy us, but not enough to get banned. I know he just sits back and revels in threads that veer away from his content, and on to his intent. The more pages about HIM, the better. It's fun to watch, actually. I would never ignore him.

The best part is this: I know what he's doing, yet he still gets on my nerves from time to time. The dude is good!

 

I was going to say that most articles I've seen is we need Oden to go far in the playoffs. Then I notice how old the orignal post was. I hate it when people bump threads like this. I wish it showed the original date on the thread before you have to click on it.

 

He always reminds me of Norton, the last serial killer Agatha Christie's hero Poirot caught. The guy didn't actually kill people himself, but he knew how to say things to others to push just the right button to drive somebody to murder. Great murder mystery.

Instead of committing murder, though, mixum somehow goads normally rational posters into saying the most annoying damned things that are clear violations of forum rules. It's irritating, because these guys should realize they are being played like a fiddle, and yet they don't. They're probably reading this very post thinking, "Mook, you just don't get it! He's a Laker fan!"

I wish I was as clever as mixum is at manipulating people into making themselves look like idiots. It'd be a really fun skill to have.

 

If Mixum just posted BS, people would just laugh him off. He "gets" to people because his hyperbole is usually built on a core of truth.

So, technically, while we did have a three game loosing streak in December, I'd be hard pressed to call it bad. ONE three game loosing streak for an entire season? DAMN, that's impressive for a bunch of youngsters!

How cool! Not only spelling police, but Laker fan spelling police. It doesn't get any better than that.

 

They've been remarkably consistent. They had some weaker stretches in the middle of the season, but never a prolonged down stretch that took them out of anything except the "race" for the 1 seed.

I did say "most teams" have them. But yeah, I expected a stretch of several (more than two) weeks where they went below .500 over that stretch, which I don't think ever happened.

 

Poor Mixum. His threads are coming back to haunt him.
