Barber's still playing at a high level? Please. The only reason he was effective with us for this long was because the Tampa 2 doesn't require the cornerbacks to have much speed. They spend no time in man coverage and are assigned a zone to patrol that is near either sideline about 5-15 yards from the line of scrimmage. Speed is minimally important compared to awareness, tackling ability, agility, and hands. If Barber starts, he will be the slowest starting CB in the league and will likely get ran off the team (literally, by opposing receivers).
In Tampa, yes. After the season, barring evident signs of breakdown (injury, unable to finish tackles, etc.), I could see him jumping to Indy or something.
