"......the win against the Suns won't mean a thing if the Blazers don't beat the Grizzlies....."

    Should we be concerned?

    Not at all.

As far as I know, they're tanking for ping pong balls.

First time Conley vs Oden! Dont think they have ever faced each other.

This is a major trap game. With utah on Tuesday and a huge win vs the suns... this could be a close close game. Also a win for the blazers will likely get the magic number to 4 with a suns loss likely vs Utah.

    Could be a nice night.

    Yes.

The Blazers are probably the most inconsistent team in WC playoff race. When they play 48 minutes, they can beat anybody. When they don't bother to show up until the second half, they can lose to anybody.

We'll be there decked out in our Blazer jerseys and my youngest will be bringing another sign. She's on a roll after getting on the jumbotron 6 times at the NJ game. Unfortunately, we won't be in our usual seats. We'll be way up in the rafters for this one. So, the cameramen might have trouble finding her.

In any case, I hope the crowd gets behind the team again like they have been. It's been a blast at the last few games we've attended. The wave during the 4th of the San Antonio game was a hoot. The players really seem to feed off the energy of the hometown crowd.

So, if you're going, get there before tip-off and don't wait until the 4th quarter to get LOUD! Let's help the team to get off to a good start, put Memphis away early and not let them back in the game.

Should we be concerned? Yes. This seems like yet another one of those games where the Blazers come out flat, let the other team think they have a chance before their superior talent wins out by the end of the game. There's a huge game against the Jazz coming up and we'll need to get Roy out of this Memphis game as soon as possible, under 30 minutes for all starters would be perfect.

I predict a comfortable win. 10+ point win, Blazers lead pretty much the entire way or, at least, throughout the second half.

It appears we should be concerned against all teams. The bad ones because they might jump at us and catch us with our drawers down, and the good ones because they are good. And don't forget the .500 teams, you don't know what kind of tomfoolery they might come up with.

Really? I would say the exact opposite. We lose on the road against the good teams, beat most teams at home, and rarely lose to sub .500 teams. I don't know how that is inconsistent.

I think Oden is going to have a good game. A double double at least.

There is this thing called the NBA league pass, where you can watch every team play every game. When you watch all the games you tend to notice that every thing we complain about the Blazers....is true for almost all the other teams. For instance, when the other playoff contenders play for 48 minutes they often win. But when they only show up for half the game, they often lose.

I apologize for being a smart ass, but seriously every team's fans bitch about the same things we do. There is at least 20 teams that are inconsistent every year. Of course we need to worry about Memphis, its the NBA. Almost every team can win on a certain night. That's why we watch. But everyone else is in the same boat.

That's what I"m hoping for too.

I like Greg coming off the bench in this game. If GO were starting, Gasol could go at him and get him in foul trouble. If Greg stays out of foul trouble, he really should have a nice double/double game.

Lottery mode is correct, we have a few teams coming up in lottery mode. They get reminded of the need for lottery picks when they play us, so that helps.

It'd be nice to see another strong effort from Aldridge- he's the key to our playoff success this year, I think. It'd be nice to see him make a statement against Gasol.

I'll be really disappointed if we come out flat in this game. That would be a big sign of our youth. Hopefully we'll take it to them from the get go and put it away early.
