http://blog.oregonlive.com/behindblazersbeat/2009/03/behind_the_blazers_locker_room_5.html Man McMillan seems to be getting better and better at pep talks.
Haven't seen or read many Nate should get fired posts, which is a good sign. Nate's doing a great job with this team and if this team can somehow finish with some first-round HCA, he should get some consideration for Coach of the Year.
I still think the wins are due to the caliber of the players we have and their growth the last few months. Whilst Nate certainly has mentored this process well, I can't help but feel that this team would be even better with a more talented coach.
Quick fabricates his stories. McMillan only read one of Mixum's "no playoffs"post, the team went crazy. Sergio was punching the wall.
I can't help but feel that having Nate has added at least 10 wins this season, and that the team wouldn't be in the playoffs with any other coach. See, that was easy.
I think he's a good coach and always has been a good coach. He commands respect from his players, knows the games, and seems to ensure that players are developing. I think the previous seasons had problems because of the youth and inexperience of the players, not because of Nate.
At least we got this taken care of: If you attend Blazers games at the Rose Garden, you might notice that public address announcer Mark Mason has ditched calling Aldridge "L.A." and started using "L-Train", which is accompanied by the sound of a freight train hurtling past. Aldridge is still called "L.A.'' by the coaches and his teammates, but he said he was approached by someone with the Blazers and asked whether they could change his nickname within the arena. "They didn't like that it was, you know, Los Angeles,'' Aldridge said. "I said I didn't mind ... that I was called L-Train in college. It doesn't matter to me, as long as they call me something.''
I can't help but disagree with that statement. Maybe more wins at this point, but nowhere near the confidence, poise, and ability to play 48 mins. This team is more playoff-prepared than any Blazers team since the Clyde and Terry days.

I like the "I Put On For My City" theme. You know Nate-Mac was like "Who is Young Jeezy?" He had to be rockin the Bell Biv Devoe back in his days on the court. Maybe some Boyz II Men. Boyz II Men, ABC, BBD ... the east coast family. -Pop
