Taking a look at each team's schedules for the rest of the way, this is what I come up with for playoff seeding in the West: 1. Lakers 2. San Antonio 3. Denver 4. Portland 5. Houston 6. Utah 7. Dallas 8. New Orleans How I got there: San Antonio @ New Orleans - W Oklahoma City - W @ Indiana - W @ Cleveland - L @ Oklahoma City - W Portland - W Utah - W @ Sacramento - W @ Golden State - W New Orleans - W Final Record: 57-25 Denver New York - W Utah - W Clippers - W @ Minnesota - W Oklahoma City - W @ Lakers - L Sacramento - W Portland - L Final Record: 54-28 Portland Utah - W @ Oklahoma City - W @ Houston - L @ Memphis - W @ San Antonio - L Lakers - W @ Clippers - W Oklahoma City - W Denver - W Final Record: 53-29 Houston @ Phoenix - W @ Lakers - L Portland - W Orlando - L @ Sacramento - W @ Golden State - L New Orleans - W @ Dallas - L Final Record: 52-30 Utah New York - W @ Portland - L @ Denver - L Minnesota - W @ New Orleans - W @ Dallas - W @ San Antonio - L Golden State - W Clippers - W @ Lakers - L Final Record: 51-31 Dallas @ Cleveland - L @ Minnesota - W Miami - L @ Memphis - W Phoenix - W Utah - L New Orleans - W @ New Orleans - L Minnesota - W Houston - W Final Record: 49-33 New Orleans San Antonio - L @ Sacramento - W @ Clippers - W @ Golden State - L Utah - L @ Miami - L Phoenix - W @ Dallas - L Dallas - W @ Houston - L @ San Antonio - L Final Record: 48-34 I see the Spurs, Mavs, and Blazers ending the season hot, and Houston, New Orleans, and Denver not. Home Court vs. Houston will be HUGE. Sorry T-Mac and Yao, but I think you aren't advancing past the first round again this year. 2nd round vs. the Lakers..... oh my god, what a war.
I have the same seeding predictions other than a switch of Houston and Portland...hope I'm wrong though! I agree with N.O. falling down to 8th.
My best guess 1-Lakers 2-Spurs 3-Nuggets 4-Houston 5-Portland 6-Mavericks 7-Jazz 8-Hornets PDX will get #4 if we beat Houston. That game in April will seal our HCA fate.
