Division Winners Pick Their Own Opponents In The Playoffs???

    On PTI, they said that David Stern is considering implementing a system in which the division winners get to pick their opponents in the first round of the playoffs. That would be crazy. What do you think?

    Seems like it would be trying to avoid upsets, which the NBA actually probably doesn't like believe it or not. Lakers vs Celtics is a much bigger draw than Lakers vs Magic.

    I think they should have a coaches exemption . . . for all the teams that don't make the playoffs, coaches can vote to keep one non-playoff team from being eliminated. Of course there would be restrictions, only one coaches exemption/yr. :D
