Extending back into the playoffs of the previous season (the Championship) and into the end of that regular season before it, Portland had won 44 consecutive home games, more than a complete regular season's worth.

Is it real? Did they really have that on the screen at the RG?

Yes, they had it up on the screen. When I seen this thread I thought they said that at the RG, but then I thought wait, I might have a pic of that. Sure enough.

I ran out of space on my mem card during the game, but went back and deleted a couple little movies I took that didn't have anything worth saving so I'd have room at the end of the game to take a pic of the score board and glad I did. I have a few pics of the board after the game.

Anyone know the margin of difference at home? I'd have to guess around 10. We've had about 15 blowouts, and all of our loses have been very close. They are averaging 103.4 points per game at home.

If we could have been a .500 road team this year, we'd be in 2nd place. Next year, we could win near 60 games if we improve on the road.
If that were the case, Nate's win total would have increased by 10 every year since he was coach. Can we push it up to 70 in 2 years?

I concur. I was at the RG too. They did really flash that on the screen.

Those teams took too many nights off at home. Of course, they were so talented that winning on the road wasn't that big of a deal for them. This team feeds off the energy at home.

My guess is that a sizeable portion of the posters on here were too young to ever catch a game at the Glass Palace. That's really too bad. We were only 12,888 (12,666 pre-expansion), but that place absolutely SHOOK with noise. When we moved to the RG, I really felt like we lost a huge chunk of our home court advantage. Now, we seem to have it back.

I only got to go once or twice, mostly because the tickets were so damn hard to come by.

That's a great point I hadn't considered, probably because my dad had season tickets before I took them over. I don't recall ANY tickets going unused and very few going to fans of other teams. Some L*ker games I have gone to at the RG have been shameful with the amount of purple and piss in the stands.

    The MC was straight pandemonium.

I loved the MC. You know the best ticket in the house back then was a $10 standing room only ticket, where you had a number painted in blue along the concrete wall that seperated the 100 and 200 level. $10 that amounted to a seat as close as any 100 level seat these days at the Garden. Man the MC was a lot of fun back in the days.

Ya, seem most of the season they were just waiting for the playoffs to start. Pissed me off because I figured they could still improve during the season, but some of them needed the rest I guess.

I rocked a standing room only "slot" many times as a kid! The MC was the real deal!

Ya, it was crazy at a game in the MC! The first time I went I actually was suppose to meet a guy that owed me money, but when he didn't show I decided to buy a cheap standing room only ticket. Just stood next to a wall the whole game. Funny, that was against the Jazz too. I remember how big Eaton was!

That was after the championship era. Then you couldn't find a ticket. I remember going one nite to spend the nite trying to get a playoff ticket, but there was so many people already there we just went home.
