Well certainly, I am a mod here aren't I? By that fact alone one will lecture, the point is to be more judicious with words.

Yea. why don't you just decide who everyone else can and cannot be fans of ok?

At least i have the decency to admit that there are other good players out there aside from Kobe, that can still attract a lot of admirers. There's nothing wrong with that.

But the bottom line is Kobe is my favorite. LeBron? Wade? There's nothing wrong with simply watching them and liking how they play. A true basketball player and someone who knows the game is smart enough to admit that.

I think your standards are petty and ridiculous though.

Your statistical comparisons are often out of context and arbitrary, which is what troubles people. Along with your pejorative nature.

You never criticize LeBron for a bad game. Never criticize Wade for a bad game. Your opinions on how you think Kobe should play are unrealistic. He's been a volume, 45% shooter his whole career. Why the fuck would he change that now?

Decency to admit other good players out there? What? I'm an admitted fan of many other players out there. OJ Mayo, Arenas, Gasol, Butler. I've never once said Kobe was the only good player or anything close to that. The fact is you hold Kobe on a completely different pedestal than other super star players. Your expectations for him are absurd. Your posts lead many to believe that you think he isn't allowed a bad stretch of games. If you wanted him to take 12 shots tonight, instead of his usual 20-24, he would've ended the night on 3-9 shooting. 33%.

Why will i criticize them? im not a die hard lebron or wade fan... just a simple fan, i couldn't care less if they do well or not. Why are you so defensive when it comes to me criticizing Kobe and not the 'other guys'? Seriously, when it comes to the others like LeBron and Wade, i just don't care, yea they're good but (which makes me a simple fan) but i still don't care. I only criticize Kobe coz' he is my favorite and i always expect great things. But when was the last time Kobe has been in a slump as long as this? I expect that whenever he has a bad game, he'll show up for the next, or at least play up to par... not "suck" for a long period of time.

The 37.7 is way way way below what Kobe's career average is.

45% IS Kobe's career average. And i am not arguing against you on that. But i really feel that he could average higher in a season WITH THE TEAM WE HAVE RIGHT NOW. (He almost did that during the 1st 1 or 2 months of the 06-07 season with Odom, Kwame, and trash, averaging aroung 48%). YES he is a volume shooter, and he needs to be to wax hot, but at the start of the season everyone said that Kobe's not going to be required to produce night in and night out, we'll only need him in tough situations especially in the clutch, again because of THE TEAM WE HAVE RIGHT NOW (that's why i also blame the poor overall performance of the team for our recent slump), Kobe should be capable of decreasing his attempts (a.k.a jacking up shots) and increasing his % from the field.

i meant 12 very efficient and smart shots. not 12 pull - up out of rhythm that also disrupts the offense type shots.

yea... but they won didn't they? if Kobe shot 1 -100FG we all wouldn't care as long as we won.

Not trying to compare the two players, but I've heard far too many rockets fans make these excuses for she-mac over the years........the "wear and tear" argument is just not a very good one, especially considering all the great guards who made long careers out of taking it to the basket. No one is asking for kobe to go in and throw his body all over the place, but you can never become afraid to take to the basket. I don't think Kobe would even use the wear and tear argument...I think he settles for the jumper, because he just enjoys shooting the jumper more than taking it to the basket......he'll get out of the slump pretty soon though. I know he's been under the weather as of late

I love young NBA fans. Its great to see 12 year old's being so dedicated to the sport. Keep it up, young fella!

If you had any idea of what you were talking about, you would know that kobe23 has been overly critical of Kobe for a long time now.

i love how you judge a person based on the way they post... LOL KG5 is far from a 12 year old. I've been critical of Kobe for the last 10 games. How is that "a long time?"

And my being critical is fueled by his poor performances

If you had any idea of what a forum is, you'd know when to shut up and stop forcing your opinions on other fans. That's why this is called a forum and that's why your play-by-plays are still allowed. *No personal attacks please.*

And so what if kobe23 has been critical? Well you've done worthless play-by plays almost every game. So dude, maybe you could get your little ass off your computer chair and stop fakin the tough guy act cos dude if you look closely through your 5-inch nerdy ass glasses you would see that in the real world people can have opinions.

KG5, do not resort to that type of attack. Question his opinions if you want, but the other stuff is getting out of hand. This applies to everyone.

Chill out guys or I'll close the thread, have a more thoughtful conversation.

 Tough guy act? Are you serious? Because kobe23 has UNREALISTIC goals for Kobe. Comeone, he wanted him to average 2 more ppg just the other week. What kind of shit is that? 2 more ppg won't make a different. Actually the play by play hasn't been worthless. illmatic uses it some times, HK is also in there doing play by play. Its fun.

I have no problem with kobe23 having his own opinion, but if he wants it to be respected, they need to be realistic opinions and he needs to be critical of the whole team, not just Kobe.

I didn't see him attacking Fisher and Farmar for not getting the ball to Pau. Or attacking Pau for not demanding the ball, or for Odom blowing countless layups. Etc..., if your going to be critical...be critical of the whole team as they stink it up, not just one player going through a stretch of bad games.

    Hahahaha :))

ok, so there is a limit to this forums! hahahahhaha

just trying to see how far i can go!

Dude, its still his choice man. He just sees Kobe as a better player than his performance shows i guess.. Nothing wrong with that!

Ehem ehem... the offence goes through Kobe. Not Gasol, Not Odom, Not Bynum, but Kobe. Period.

Uh, okay? Where did I say that Kobe shouldn't be the focal point?
