How is the college being able to pull in international players into the program (Brandt & Murphy)? Is there an outreach deal going on or something? Or do these students want to experience USA culture?

I wonder how much of their success in recruiting has to do with the coach's brother-in-law? The Robinson name now brings a certain cache.

question for college basketball fans. we all know the NCAA tourney is top dog and losing in the first round is better than winning any other tournament. but what about the NIT? would you trade a CBI championship for a single game in the NIT on national TV? take into account that home teams have to pay 60 grand for each home game in the CBI.

This game is only available on Comcast channel 737 HD. Game starts at 7 pm PST.
I'll try to watch it since I have the HD box.
Maybe a year from now ESPN2 or some other carrier should carry the CBI semi and finals. Maybe next year they will increase the teams by 4.

I hope you are correct, but I think you are wrong.

CBI games are on HDNet, and Comcast doesnt offer it.

Looks like you are correct!!!

Bad pass to point guard. UTEP gets the ball and dunks. Beavers get the ball back try to pass from the inside and its turned over. UTEP hits a short 12 footer. UTEP only down 4 points now 24-20 with 7.x min left in half.

Ruland has 12 points. 5:00 left. beavs up 26-22. They are using up the shot clock very well and making sure it winds down. S. Tarver shot blocked.

They shut down Roeland in the second half. They forced the beavers to shoot from the outside and UTEP's 3pt shooting got hot. Beavers need to find ways of attacking the paint. Too much ball movement and not enough opportunities to open up the lane.

UTEP's defense didnt let the Beavs get into their offense last night. Hopefully Robinson and the Beavs can figure out how to attack the rim and get better looks on Friday. One thing that gives me hope is that we still where in the game and had a chance to tie it up in the final minute.

Ya, it sucks that our players are getting some post season experience (I know, its only the CBI) while your Ducks are out getting busted for shooting their mascot with bb guns. With the season they had, they should be out shooting hoops instead of shooting ducks at the local park.

Your Ducks got the Granny Panty award for having the most pathetic season in school history.

Word ... I got no comeback. My Ducks truly sucked it up this year. I just think the CBI is a ridiculous tournament. Of course ... like you said ... it's better than where Oregon is.

Just having a little fun with you guys.
