Who is the better player in the prime of their careers? For Nash it's now, for Kidd its 3-4 years back. I think it's a great comparison because both were 10+ Assist threats to go along with great late game scorers. Two of the top 10 PGs in NBA History in my respective opinion? As the trends go, you guys answer, I'll pick up later [IMG]

Jkidd. Better defender, better rebounder, better at making players better. Just ask anyone in NBA who they would want to play with, and they will say JKidd, even this year with Nash ripping it up.

Nash has some crazy moves and has been playing great but I think Jason just makes the Point Guard position look easy. And he makes everyone around him play better. The Nets would not be as good with Nash instead of Jason.

Jason Kidd's defense is 10 times better, that alone puts him over the top.

I'll take Kidd also, when he had KMart to pass to he was putting up great numbers. I understand Nash hasn't had Amare all year, but he still has the more complete team and a different offense.

Playing good defense doesn't matter that much at pg. The pg's job is to run a team's offense. If a pg like Nash is having trouble playing defense on someone, just come over and help him out no big deal.Nash is a better passer then Kidd. Don't even question this. He is the best in the League at setting up his teammates. He is the much better scorer. Much better shot and he can go hard to the rim. Kidd is declioning becuse of his age and has had a pretty poor year. Nash is runnin gthe break well. Kidd is averaging a dismal 7.6 considereing his standards. Nash was running the best offense in the League. He has the ability to make his players better. He even made Pat Burke look good lol. If Nash had Carter an Jefferson they would be running the show in the NBA no doubt. Playing a fast break game. Nash can generate offense out of any squad in the NBA.The fact is the pg is supposed to create offense. Nash has been doing that better the Kidd has.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (JustBlaze @ Mar 23 2006, 11:43 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I'll take Kidd also, when he had KMart to pass to he was putting up great numbers. Nash is a better shooter and better passer but Kidd is better at rebounding and defending. I'd actually pick Nash just because he is clearly the better shooter and I say is better at setting his team up in the half court set. Jason Kidd relies a ton on getting fastbreak points. The nets teams of the past were good on defense and using that to get fastbreak points but if they didn't get that they were shut down pretty much in the halfcourt.

We had nobody to go to. Kerry Kittles wasnt going to take someone 1 on 1, and niether was keith van horn or kmart or tod mcahulph(however you spell his name) We didnt have a go to guy like the suns have.

Outside of Carter and Jefferson, there's a huge drop in talent on the Nets. Marion is better than either one of them, Amare is also when he's healthy.

Now, Nash. JKidd three years ago is better but he is getting old.

Kidd plays both ends on the floor and does all the things Nash does. Nash may do it better now but that's because Kidd is aging. But Kidd has been doing it since his rookie year. Nash has only started playing at this level the past 2 seasons. I should know watching Nash with the Mavs for 5 years.

You think Shawn Marion is more offense then Richard Jefferson and Vince Carter? Oh boy.

And what did Nash do? Bottom line, it's not about what teammates a player has, it's about their individual talent. And Kidd is better overall.

You can't judge a player on his teammates.

You agree right?Well Nash is making Phoenix the best offense in the League well the Nets have been slipping alittle bit offensively and the pg runs the offense so that can partly be contributed to Kidd.

If JKidd played on Suns, they would be a better team, as they might score a little less, but the better perimeter defense would go a longer way.

The Suns live and die with their offense so with Kidd they woul not run alot and the scoring would be down. 1 good defensive player would not change the mess they have in defense. I seriously doubt they would win their division with Kidd.

Yeah, that's what i thought.
