Brew Festival easily. Rose Festival takes place in late May and early June and it almost always rains. Plus they don't serve beer at the Rose Festival anymore.
BrewFest, no doubt. A friend of mine from Phoenix is coming up to celebrate his 35th birthday this year. Stay at the waterfront Marriott, and let the fun begin.
If 30,000 people buzzing on micros and women running around wasted with their shirts off is your thing, then hit the BrewFest. I play a good wingman there. lol
NEW WEBSITE COMING SOON! 22nd Annual Oregon Brewers Festival July 23-26 2009 Always the last full weekend in July Welcome to Beervana Beer Tastes Better Here!
I went last year when I visited from Phoenix, had a great time. Ran into like ten people I went to high school with. Get there early and dont go on Saturday though, you have to wait in line 20 minutes just to get a beer.
Go during the afternoon on Saturday. You won't care if you're standing in line when the evening rolls around.
Waterfront Blues Festival 4th of July Weekend puts both those gatherings to shame. http://www.waterfrontbluesfest.com/
No, not really, although the BluesFest does beat the RoseFest for me. I go to all of the festivals each year. BrewFest is an experience that is above all of them, especially for what Petro is looking for. Heck, I prefer Cinco de Mayo at McCall over RoseFest, but that's just me.
I like Blues Fest over Rose Fest or Brew Fest as well. Of course, I'm not a beer drinker and like the Blues. I still vote for Geek Fair above any of them though.
Blues Festival is fun too. Its one of those things you want to light up a steamer before you go to though.
