    Another tease on ESPN... geez. And sounded like Stephen A Smith was interviewing him. Joy.

    edit: nevermind, it's Colleen Dominguez. I thought I heard G.O. say Steve in one of the teasers.

    Is it just me, or does ESPN pretty much not cover NBA as a whole well at all? I know they don't give Blazers much exposure, but I swear they never talk about the entire NBA anymore. We're in the final stretch of the NBA season. If it was NFL, you'd see them covering every little bit of the league. MLB previews and Jay Cutler get just as much time as the NBA on their show yet when it's MLB or NFL season, you never see NBA off-season talk. Pisses me off.

    The NBA simply isn't as popular as the NFL, especially now that Jordan is gone. Baseball....well.... I don't know. I guess they still think of it as "America's pastime" but I don't think the MLB has been on that level in years. Football is most definitely America's sport now.

    Oden grades his individual performance this season as a C- and says he can do much better. He can see himself averaging a double-double, although this seemed like his conservative estimate.

    I would grade his interview skills a D, however. At least this time.

    It was an all right interview. Just serves as a reminder to me how big of a personality G.O. is considered in the national media's eyes, and what kind of expectations this guy has.

    Almost 15 million people on average watched the World Series last year with two teams nobody cares about.

    Just under 14 million watched a Lakers/Celtics NBA Finals.

    Face it, we NBA hoop junkies are freaks. :)

    I played baseball through JC level, and I can't tolerate baseball on TV.

    It comes down to baseball and basketball. The NFL is better to watch on tv imo.

    Basketball you're inside and baseball you're outdoors. A summer day baseball game beats all. That and ticket prices are much cheaper for a better seat for a baseball game.

    I want to a Coyotes game at Jobing.com arena once, the stadium seemed a little bit bigger than inside memorial coliseum, so everyone had a pretty good view of the game. I dont care for Hockey but I had free tickets and thought I would check it at, it was 100x better in person than TV (but 100x0 is still 0). Personally, in Arizona I love going to baseball games more than anything. Beer and hot peanuts, outside warmth... but I also have the disadvantage of going to every basketball game as an away fan cause I hate the Suns more than the Lakers.
