Im calling it right now. If they beat Dallas Sunday, the Suns wont lose again. Their schedule is very easy after the Dallas game. They do face the hornets but the hornets will never keep up with the suns scoring. Dallas better win Sunday. Dallas has the Hornets twice, Houston and Utah. Both teams seasons come down to Sunday. Anyhow, it looks like we clinch against the grizz if i had to guess. We arent beating Houston or SA and i think the suns win out.
I'm curious Mixum, will you honor your promise not to post negative comments when the Blazers clinch? I must admit I'm skeptical.
It'll be interesting. IF the Suns beat the Mavs on Sunday, they'll then be two games behind Dallas in the loss column. The remaining games for both teams would be: Phoenix: @Hornets; @Grizzlies; @Timberwolves; Grizzlies; Warriors. Certainly all winnable games with the one in New Orleans most likely being the most difficult challenge. Dallas: Jazz; Hornets; @Hornets; Timberwolves; Rockets Much more difficult schedule. I'm not certain who has the tie-breaker, but anything can happen in the NBA....and oftentime does. Frankly, for obvious reasons, I'd rather the Suns make the playoffs, than the Mavs.
you know, either one will get beaten pretty easily by the L*kers...I'm looking up in the race, not down.
Today's Suns @ Mavs game will be very intriguing. You can bet I'll be watching. BTW, I'll be pulling for the Suns...just because. Also will be pulling for Utah...since they're behind the Hornets.
Are you starting to feel the noose tightening? I can't imagine what must be racing through you mind with the specter of a 4 or 5 month stretch of 'no negativity' staring you in the face. The pressure must be unbearable. PS. What does the Suns getting into the playoffs have to do with the Lakers? I'm guessing you don't want to see your boys have to face Shaq and Nash in the first round
yes im a man of my word.... and will post positive things through the playoffs.... and possibly the draft... but then i shall take a leave and make my return when the days grow short
Personally, I'm routing for the Suns. They are no longer a factor for the Blazers . . . and suns beating the Mavs make the mavs no longer a factor for the Blazers.
Agreed. I'd much rather see Dallas completely out of the playoff picture than Phoenix ... and God help me, I just like Shaq and would love to see him square off against the Lakeshow.
considering our second round matchup might well be the Lakers, I want whichever team will take more out of the Lakers between Dallas and the Suns. Personally, I think both teams might get swept by the Lakers, but I think that Shaq is more likely to at least provide some solid banging and he might fall on Kobe. So, I would love to see the Suns win out. But, even if the Suns win tonight, I still think that Dallas will eek into the playoffs ahead of the Mavs. So, I don't really care who wins.
Good point, Dallas has been a monkey on our back for several seasons now. We have now answer for Dirk, but we can beat the Suns without Amare.
As PagaG had said, though, we won't have to consider the Suns nor the Mavs as the Lakers will have already disposed of either in, most likely, quick fashion.
Well, it looks like the Suns are done and we are about to clinch a playoff birth. The Suns are getting blown out in Dallas.
I want the Suns to win for two reasons. First, it would be nice to remove even the slim chance of meeting the Mavs in the playoffs. Second, I REALLY don't want the Mavs to move up above the eighth seed.
