I'm watching the Suns get plastered and the commentators start talking about their sleepers for the playoffs. JVG named like three teams, but Mark Jackson said Portland. He said we're well coached and full of young talent. Also, he thinks we're too young to know what we're not supposed to be able to do in the playoffs.

I just heard that. I wish he would have not said that. I like this team flying under the radar.

I like getting national props personally. I don't think we're all that under the radar in the first place. Maybe national perception wise, but certainly not league wise.

I've always like Mark Jackson as a player and a commentator, he keeps JVG in check.

JVG is awesome. Great commentator. Don't care for his slow-ball coaching style. But love him on the mic.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I like JVG as an announcer. Mark Jackson has never really appealed to me as an announcer...he seems too prone to tossing out athlete platitudes, rather than insightful analysis.

JVG is pretty funny as an analyst. It makes it more fun because the perception of him was a bit of a hardass and take-no-crap attitude as a coach. He and Jackson have a nice chemistry.

Anyway, good to hear some national people give us some props though I still don't think we'll have many believers being that this is our first time in the playoffs, and then the Ric Bucher crap.

Ugh JVG a good announcer? Only good thing on espn/abc announcing is Hubie Brown. TNT>ESPN/ABC... NBA on NBC> ALL!

Well, TNT actually employed JVG as an analyst before he went back to coaching I believe, and then was hired at ABC/ESPN. So TNT thought something of him.
With how bad ABC/ESPN can be sometimes, I don't mind listening to JVG. But I agree NBA on NBC is still king.
