Baron Davis killed the Mavs with mountain man beard in that incredible playoff series a few years ago. Roy needs to work on his beard, not shave it.
In retrospect, it was probably bad luck to NOT shave after clinching. I understand that they didn't want to celebrate before an important game, but still... Gotta keep your word to a tee when it comes to karma.
Problem is that Roy's "beard" is more nuclear fallout than mountain man. He just beat out Drew Gooden for ugliest facial hair in the 2009 season. Gooden got points for lack of bald spots.
Heh, this new group has nothing on me in the beard department. I grew a beard during the Blazers' championship run in '76/'77 out of respect for Walton's beard. I decided to keep mine until the Blazers got a repeat title. Thirty-two years and still waiting...
