How does this work? How can teams ahead of other teams not be in the playoffs when the teams behind them are. EXPLAIN! http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/standings
But they say Houston hasn't clinched yet. If PHO wins out their last five games, PHO still only has 47 wins, and HOU already has 49 wins. So how come HOU hasn't clinched? I don't get it either.
http://www.nba.com/standings/team_record_comparison/conferenceNew_Std_Cnf.html ESPN is dumb. NBA.com has the correct standings. Houston is in.
Houston clinched before we did according to NBA.con. I think it is nothing more than a typo. The funny thing was that we had a better record than Houston at the time, but they held the tie breaker over Phoenix, and we did not.
I wish we would have not overlooked the Clippers or the Thunder. We're going to look back at some of our losses and just cringe.
Those losses do sting a bit. But then that early Rocket win and maybe the road NOLA win we stole! Those games kinda even themselves out.
Every team has games like that though. The Lakers got blown out by the Kings. The Spurs lost to the Thunder TWICE. The Celtics lost to the Clippers. The Cavs lost to the Wizards. It happens. Not unique to us.
