I watched the Suns and Denver game, and I was really watching Amare to see how he was playing. I noticed alot. Hes no where near the player of last year. Dosnt have the explosiveness he has had. He didnt dunk yet only laying it up. He isnt running the fast break like last year. He isnt in basketball shape yet either, he is breathing heavy after six minutes of play. So the Suns are still not at full strength.
If Amare can come back into 15 and 10 form to end the year, playing within the Suns offense, the only team I see stopping them is Detroit. Detroit is a great offense team, and will really wear down the Suns defense. They can also get back down the floor quickly, which hurts the Suns again. However, with the Suns depth, they are the one team that can beat the Pistons.
they dnt need Amare, tho amare still needs to get back in game shape for the playoffs...theyre gonna kill it..

I don't think we will see the real Amare till next season. He is a long way off.
I think the spurs bench and experience will out do the suns. Last season the spurs beat the suns at their own game. The spurs beat the pistons in a defensive battle. What style of game is going to unfold? we will see.edit: Last wcf Duncan was destroyed by Amare. Series result? 4-1. The suns and spurs have improved. If duncan gets healthy [his play latley has been better, i think he's getiing better] spurs win in 6. un-healthy duncan? suns in 7.Btw, mavsfan killed this thread with his post.
I guess the truth hurts about Amare's knee. The spurs will beat the suns easily. I'd be surprised if it went 6. The suns were badly outmatched in the frontcourt this year as well as in the playoffs last year. They got killed on the boards was their downfall.

But the only thing questioning is Nash's defense on Parker and Bowens defense on Marion.

Shawn Marion disappearing and JJ getting injured was the difference.
Just wanted to add, this topic jumped the gun based on one game. And I think both Amare and the Suns are making a mistake by bringing him back early. He's not 100%, and with this injury, he should only return when he is.
I don't know about unstoppable. In all fairness it was a mix of great defense by NJ and a no show by Nash and the suns.
They just had a very poor shooting night and the media is making way too big a deal over it. Nobody was complaining about Amare's knee when he came in with 20/9 but as soon as they lose Amare's knee is a problem. Maybe it's not 100%, I don't know what the deal is with it. But I do know they wanted him back in the flow and in better shape for the playoffs.
I think Amare will ruin the Suns. Hasn't played all year. They are use to playing a small line-up and running and gunning. I think he'll slow them but thats IMO.

I still think it's a mistake, but I'm not Suns management, so I'll just watch what comes about.

This won't be like Chris Webber and the Kings a few years ago. You're just saying that bc they recently got blown out. That was just a lapse, it won't happen again.
lmfao.well they lost by 40 points last night.Nash+Amare had a big <Censored> 0 POINTS! last night..what happend to them being unstoppable?

You are being naive if you think Amare's serious surgery will go away D'antoni agrees with me. This will definitely be a long time before he comes back and who knows if he will ever be 100% again. He should've just taken the year off and not tried to make a comeback imo.
