I found this cool little site, that gives scouting reports on each NBA player. I'm not sure who exactly made the reports, but I've often thought it would be cool to have fans of each time give honest scouting reports of each player. Fans that watch every game usually know a lot more about a player than some "ESPN insider". http://www.nbapostup.com/content/channing-frye Anyway, here is Channing Frye's. I thought it was pretty accurate, and I loved their summary. Channing Frye is a poor basketball player with borderline NBA skills
I don't know why these things crack me up, look what they say about Lamarcus: http://www.nbapostup.com/content/lamarcus-aldridge LaMarcus Aldridge is a quality basketball player and should start on your team And they gave him a D+ in FG%. Not sure how that works. Their reviews could be much better...like why don't they mention how great he is at running the court.
For steve blake. "Steve Blake is not a very good basketball player but has some NBA skills and belongs in the league" And gave him a C- in assists. Overall rating a D+ Von Wafer got a C- for an overall rating. Thats fucked up. (comparing that to blakes'). That site is fucked up.
You know, if the folks running this bulletin board really wanted to make something new and different, they should make a new sub forum called "Blazer Player Scouting." You'd have 30 such sub-forums, one for each team. In each sub forum you'd have 15 sticky threads, one for each NBA player. You could probably do a feed in the OP that has the current season's main stats. This would probably be great for search engine optimization, because over time you'd have a ton of posts devoted to each of the good players. And it'd be fun to read the old posts about a guy like Outlaw. Over the course of 5 years a lot has been said about him. But even a guy like Von Wafer. Watching him the other night, I couldn't help but think "WTF?" If there were a Von Wafer player profile thread, I definitely would've read up on it after the game.
