I think Kaman's length can bother Dirk. I don't see that as a huge advantage to Dirk and Kaman would post Dirk up constantly on the other end.
Kaman's length CAN bother Dirk, but didn't you see those two treys Dirk made in the grill of Kaman? Those were both awesome.
I think the Mavs would have a bit more of a challenge from MEM since the team has a lot more playoff experience, but the Clippers have Sam Cassell leading them (he has quite a bit of playoff experience).
Good point, ma, but Memphis's offense is so horrible that Dallas probably won't lose momentum in a series vs. Memphis.Obviously, the Clippers don't have too much experience besides Cassell, and Cassell is also a clutch point guard!!
Yeah, man, beating the crap outta Memphis would be awesome. By the way, DALLAS MIGHT END UP PLAYING MEMPHIS IN THE FIRST ROUND OR SECOND ROUND!!What I figured out was that the West is going to end-up looking like this if Dallas gets 1st Seed:1) Dallas Mavericks2) Phoenix Suns3) Denver Nuggets4) San Antonio5/6) Los Angeles Clippers or Memphis Grizzlies 7) Los Angeles Lakers8) Sacramento KingsThis is what it'll be if Dallas gets the FOUTH seed:1) San Antonio Spurs2) Phoenix Suns3) Denver Nuggets4) Dallas Mavericks5/6) Memphis Grizzlies or Los Angeles Clippers7) Los Angeles Lakers8) Sacramento KingsNow, let's say the 1st seed matchup works out and Dallas wins, or the 4th seed works out and Dallas wins. That means either the Clippers or the Grizzlies would be eliminated. Now, we also know that one of those two teams (Clippers or Memphis) will also be the 6th Seed. Did you ever stop to notice that Memphis, the current 6th seed, and the first-round opponent against Denver if the postseason started today, Memphis would be two games less in the loss column, meaning home-court?And that's my point right there!! That means...1) San Antonio beats Sacramento Kings2) Phoenix Suns defeat Los Angeles Lakers3) Denver Nuggets LOSE to Los Angeles/Memphis4) The Mavs defeat Los Angeles/MemphisThat would mean the next round would be...1) San Antonio2) Phoenix Suns4) Dallas Mavericks5) Los Angeles/MemphisThat means San Antonio would have to face Dallas in the WCF!!BUT NOW THIS IS HOW THE 1ST SEED IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT...REPLACE SAN ANTONIO (#1 SEED) WITH DALLAS (#4 SEED). Now look at the first-round...1) Dallas beats Sacramento2) Phoenix beats LA Lakers3) Denver loses to Memphis/Los Angeles4) San Antonio beats Memphis/Los AngelesLook at the remaining seeds...1) Dallas2) Phoenix4) San Antonio5/6) Memphis/Los AngelesA first seed for Dallas means that the Mavericks won't have to face San Antonio OR Phoenix until the WCF!!
OH man, that'd be a nice scenerio to me...missing both of those teams would be great.I'm just not sure it'll end up that way.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>A first seed for Dallas means that the Mavericks won't have to face San Antonio OR Phoenix until the WCF!!</div>A Spurs/Mavs semi finals is all but a lock. Nice try.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>And that's my point right there!! Yeah, but #1 seed faces off with the lowest seed, which COULD be Memphis/LA Clippers!Alrite, THIS MUCH IS GUARENTEED RIGHT NOW:1. San Antonio/Dallas2. Phoenix Suns3. Denver Nuggets4. San Antonio/Dallas5. Memphis/LA Clippers6. Memphis/LA Clippers7. LA Lakers/Sacramento8. LA Lakers/SacramentoI just want to avoid LA Lakers, Spurs, and Suns.
1 plays 8 and the winner plays 4 or 5 so no matter what the mavs play the spurs in the second round unless the spurs lose. The only thing records show is who gets home court and has nothing to do with what you are showing.
No, DUDE, WERE YOU NOT READING MY HUGE POST ON THIS!?Memphis (8th Seed) has a better record than Denver (3rd Seed), giving Memphis a first-round home court advantage, and if they won, they would have to face off with the first seed!

Alrite, so the remaining teams would be...1) San Antonio2) Phoenix4) Dallas6) MemphisOh, CRAP, you're right, we'd have to play Phoenix!! Dang...
Whats so bad about playing Phoenix? They could be our new Sacramento. Which makes it even better because Nash is a Sun

Dang...</div>no Phoenix and Memphis would play each other since Memphis takes over the 3 seed. 1 vs. 4 and 2 vs. 3. 1)San Antonio2)Phoenix3) (6)Memphis4)Dallas
Wait, wait, I meant...1) Dallas Mavericks2) San Antonio Spurs3) Phoenix Suns4) Memphis Grizzlies / LA ClippersThat's logical, so it could be against Memphis!!
1) southwest division mavs or spurs2) pacific division= suns3) midwest division= nuggets or grizzlies4) next best record which is mavs or spurs. There are 3 divisions and that is why the mavs and spurs will face in the second round NO MATTER WHAT.
YEah, but there are FOUR playoff teams left after the first round! If Dallas had first seed, San Antonio would get 2nd because division leaders are eliminated in the second round. Then Phoenix would be 3rd seed, and MEmephis would be 4th
No they don't change the seedings after the first round. It would go like this.First round1. San Antonio/8. Lakers2. Phoenix/7. Kings 3. Denver/6. Grizzlies4. Dallas/5. ClippersWestern Conference Semis1.San Antonio/4.Dallas2.Phoenix/3.DenverWestern Conference Finals1.Dallas/2.Phoenix. Trust me. I know what I'm talking about.
DUDE, NO, what I was saying is that what if MEMPHIS BEAT DENVER!? Memphis even has a better, so logically, Memphis would win.Sorry for the double, but look at last season.Washington was a 5th seed and beat Chicago, the 4th seed.Washington (5th seed) played the 1st seed, Miami, the next round!!
