...and what makes you think they'll beat Portland? Oh yeah, you're a troll who's simply trying to get a rise out of people. Got it.

What's SA's record with and without Ginobili this season?

NM I just read that they are 17-15 without Ginobili and 32-12 with him. So much for the "they've been playing without him all year and are still good so it doesnt matter" argument. Although it's still dangerous to assume you can just chalk up a W against the Spurs. They beat us pretty good with just Parker last time we played in SA. Still like out chances better in a 7 game series against SA rather than Houston.

With HCA we'll beat the Rockets.

If we don't get HCA I think we might be able to steal one there in the first two games. If not we'll come here and get rolling at home and go back there and beat them there in the 5th game and come home and finish it in 6.

I don't see us winning a 7th game at Houston.

Let's hope we steal one from them on their court before the 7th game, then.

Utah won a 7th game in Houston last year.

Many good reasons why they would beat Portland. Best is one Houston>Portland :ghoti:

    Dear Toko,

I want to apologize for laughing in your face and calling you a troll when you said the road sucky Blazers can never beat the Spurs at San Antonio even when the Spurs decide to rest Duncan. :D

Without HCA, Portland will lose in the first round. Wish it weren't true but it is.

Anyway, San Antonio was never much of a threat for the Lakers. I really don't think anyone outside of Cleveland and Orlando are.

I love the idea of a Cleveland/Lakers finals. LeBron vs Kobe would be epic.

After last night's game, do you think the Blazers, without HCA, would have a chance in a series against the spurs?

Not sarcastic question, I know the spurs came off a back to back and it won't be like that in the playoffs, and maybe I'm riding a euphoria of the Blazers actually winning 50 games with 4 games left, but I think the Blazers would have a shot in taht series.

While the Blazers aren't stellar on the road, I think we could take 1 road game in 4 from any team in the league. They almost beat CLE in CLE last month, short-handed. I know the road record as well as anyone, but there's a swagger to this team now. I am really excited to see what Nate's staff prepares for the team in a 7-game series. Opponents can gameplan for us, but we can gameplan for them, and I think we have more weapons (and an x-factor in Greg) than just about anyone.

Outside of LA and San Antonio, nobody in the West is stellar on the road. Throw in that Portland has won 6 out of their last 8 on the road (with the loss to Cleveland you mentioned included in this span), and I think we'll see a team that will steal at least one road win against anybody outside of LA. However, I also doubt that they can hold serve every time at home in a series. Barring a meltdown, this team should have an extended first round series.

I think this team is growing up right before our very eyes. I think their ability to play a road game now is vastly different than it was even two months ago. I'm confident in this team's ability to compete, regardless of the opponent.

That's a good point. The Spurs look really beatable right now. I'm not as excited as many here--Duncan was playing on one leg for limited minutes, and Ginobili is done. I think a good 50+ win team should be able to dispatch them more often than not.

So yeah, if we see them in the first round (my hope) I think we beat them pretty easily, with or without HCA.

Yeah, I'd say they've actually moved ahead of NOR as the team I'd like to face in the first round, with or without HCA.
