Angels Release Statement on Adenhart http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/ne...ent_id=4187606&vkey=pr_ana&fext=.jsp&c_id=ana Adenhart's Family Releases Statement http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/ne...ent_id=4187606&vkey=pr_ana&fext=.jsp&c_id=ana Taken away from this world by an idiot drunk driver. He and two others in his car were killed when a drunk driver blew a red light and slammed into his car. He pitched just last night and was killed about 2 hours after the game was over. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 7 hits, 3 walks, 5 K's, 0 runs, and his last inning ever pitched...the 6th inning, was a 1-2-3 inning. One hell of a performance for a 22 year old rookie making only his 4th career start. It is a damn shame the bull pen blew that lead. This young kid had the world by the balls, he had so much potential. Being an avid Angels fan, we get to watch our young talent like Adenhart grow. Its a damn shame this happened. R.I.P Nick Adenhart.
It's a shame that it takes someone like Adenhart to die before people realize how terrible and how real Drunk Driving is. 16,000 people a year I believe is the number killed by drunk drivers approx. 3,000 perished in 9-11. Something needs to be done about drunk driving. The laws aren't strick enough. Mandatory 30 days in jail if your caught and a 10,000 fine IMO. If you hurt or kill someone, 2nd degree murder...not vehicular manslaughter or w/e it is.
I just heard about this. Apparently 3 people died from the accident. Terrible news. I wish his family and his teammates the best. Along with the others. RIP
Yeah, 3 people were killed. The drunk got out of his car and tried running away but was caught by police. There were some rumors that another Angel was in the car with Adenhart, but I haven't heard anything about that on the radio out here. Just Adenhart and two others.
The guy killed 3 people. Tried running away from cops. What kind of time is he looking at? Put him to justice. Would be ironic if he was an Angel fan though... (sorry if this offends anyone, I'm just thinking about it)
I thought that too, this morning actually. Vehicular Manslaughter, DUI, Felony hit and run. The guy is fucked.
You know what really gets me is that the drunk driver who kills someone, always walks away with his life. They say its because when your drunk, your body doesn't have the reaction time to tense up and that you absorb the impact better. I say you should be fuckin killed anyways for being fuckin' retarded. Is it that hard to call a cab? Get a DD? Call family to pick you up?
Royals Stunned by Death of Adenhart http://losangeles.angels.mlb.com/ne...ent_id=4187588&vkey=news_kc&fext=.jsp&c_id=kc
I think the news would've been broken though if it was another Angel. I'm not sure though, the media was all over this in SoCal.
Another passenger was Nick's friend Courtney. She was 20. She was killed. My feed of the press conference cut out.
Absolutely terrible news. I heard about this this morning when I woke up and couldn't believe it. It's a damn shame that someone so young was taken from this world by an absolute fucktard drunk. How fucking hard is it to call a cab anyways? I'm sure there's a shit load in the LA area around that time of night. And how in the fuck can you really get multiple DUIs by the time you're 22? You'd have to have gotten some before you were even legal to drink at that point, or one immediately when you turn 22. This assclown deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life. I'd say give him the death penalty if I believed in it, but I think it's worse to make a person rot in jail for the rest of their life and live with their decision. RIP Nick Adenhart
The guy was arrested for drunk in public and DUI in 2006, he was arrested for drunk and disorderly contact as well before. He has a history of alcohol abuse. Fuck tard. Fuck him, I hope he gets fucking murdered in jail.
