Does sports make/break your attitude? If your favorite team loses, are you in a bad mood? If they win a huge game, are you happy as fuck? For me, sports makes or breaks my day/attitude. Right now, I'm shocked and upset that Nick Adenhart was killed by a drunk driver. I don't want to do anything, I'm just...in shock. When the Lakers' lost the finals, I was disgusted and pissed off for about week. When Kobe was named MVP last year, I was happy as fuck. Does sports run anybody else's life like this?
With the Celtics back in the middle of the decade, I would be happy as fuck any time we beat a good opponent. Because that was all I could hope for, because they sucked. Now that they're good, I won't be satisfied until they make the finals, and I'll be even more satisfied if they win it. There are only about 10 games this year that I've watched the majority of, and at least 25 that I've outright missed. The rest I'm in and out. I'm just waiting for the playoffs. For the Sox, well they're always good, so its always a matter of getting to the World Series before I'm completely happy with the season. For the Bucs, well they suck and will suck for a little bit, but I don't feel as much emotion towards them because I'm lucky if I can catch 7 games a year of theirs.
Of course, but a death is something different. Never experienced it before. I know I felt sick to my stomach when Drew went down, both times. I always feel pissed when the Lakers lose, fortunately we have late games so I pretty much go to bed right after. But when we traded for Pau last year I was in a good mood for like the entire week. lol
When Drew went down both times, I felt sick. Especially the 2nd time. When we got Pau, dude I was ecstatic. I remember where I was and what I ordered for lunch! (In-n-out Double Double animal style with animal style fries!!!) With the Angels, I expect to make the playoffs, but them god damn Red Sox just have our number. Its disappointing.
I punched a hole in the wall when the Rockets lost to the Jazz in the playoffs, the hole is still there. That explains it all.
I stoped caring about the Grizzlies loosing a long time ago because I'm so used to it. Any game the Tigers win makes me happy and any game the Tigers loose make me really pissed off.
I'm always fine after a sports game. I love sports but I can take a loss like champ. Never serious. Kansas lost to Syracuse never bothered me, If Kansas lost to Memphis, wouldn't have bothered me. If Steelers lost to the Cardinals, wouldn't have bothered me. However, If you bet against either the Flyers, Raptors, Jayhawks, Blue Jays or Steelers and lose money and then complain to me, then you I'll never feel sorry for you. I'm an optismistic, so I always find the bright side in any loss.
I was mad for like four days when Calipari left and when all the recruits left too, but the Patz hire cheered me up.
I used to get angry for about an hour after a loss. Now, I just do something to take my mind off the game. Instead of coming on here after a loss, I would turn on the Xbox if I knew the Rockets were gonna lose. I ripped down my T-Mac poster off the wall when he quit on the season. I don't respect quitters.
I always get really excited after the Blazers win. I am disappointed after the Blazers lose, but I only get really down if I feel it was a game they should have won. Like Lost One though, the games are late enough that I don't have time to be down for very long until it is time to sleep and then tomorrow is a new day.
I'm glad T-Mac quit. He was the only reason I had to watch every Rockets game. Now, sports don't make or break my day.
It used to, but being a Knicks fan, you get used to losing so much that it doesn't really do anything anymore. The early 2000s were pretty bad for me though, especially since I was a preteen/young teenager and I was used to watching us win 50-60 games per year and make it to the Finals some years.
Losing only gets to me occasionally. The only ones that really bother me are the Yankees losing the Red Sox, when Dallas loses to the Redskins, and seeing my Hawkeyes lose in football, ESPECIALLY to ISU. If the Lakers lose...well, it agitates me, but I don't let it get to me, unless they end up losing a playoff series, than I'm agitated.
