T-Mac when healthy. By far actually. If he is as healthy as he was before this year, and he was on this Celtic team, he'd be getting 30+PPG. I also feel he is a better passer and rebounder. Pierce is a better defender, but other than that, I feel T-Mac has this one.

Pierce is better interms of doing stuff in the clutch.Their careetr stats are pretty even [i know tmac's toronto days plays around with it.eedit: You can't say tmac would score 30ppg, he is not the same tmac of orlando. His game has evolved into now he's shooting from the perimeter alot more than he did in orlando, His shots are not falling also [wasn't he shooting like 43% last season?]Tmac is the better player but pierce is not that far behind him.

This year T-Mac has been injured so much and Pierce has been having a great season,It's a hard one both T-Mac and Pierce are great players in the clutch,i'd take Tracy if he wasn't injured.

After December of 2004, he was averaging I believe 28PPG, which is as much as his 2nd highest PPG average.

His scoring was fine but he's fg% dropped because of the shots he was taking. Now he's a peremiter guy, before he used to mix it up.

TMac. Better shooter, better scorer, better defensive player, better passer. Pierce might be the better rebounder and slasher but it goes to Mac. Mac lead Orlando to the playoffs a couple of years ago as well.

I feel his FG% also increased as season went by. I know for a fact his scoring jumped way up, so I am sure his FG% did too. Last year he wasn't too bad with shot selection, not all that much different than Orlando T-Mac. This year is where you can see how painfully bad his shot selection is.

Tracy McGrady can be a lazy son of a <Censored> but what he did in Orlando doesn't get enough attention. I watched him in a handfull of games and he was unstoppable. Not to many 6'10" guys have his skills. Paul however has changed his whole image from a pouty loser who was not a leader to now where most Celtics fans praise him. He like McGrady in the 4th quarter can be as unguardable as anyone in the NBA. If both were healthy I would pick McGrady but nothing against Pierce.

They were two games away from the nba finals. Tracy blew a 3-1 lead and didn't get out of the first round. Defensively, they are about even, as both of them can be good, but they turn it off most of the time.

This year, obviously Pierce, but it might not matter, because Celtics might not make the playoffs...

T-Mac's injured too much, Pierce has missed like 15 games his entire career, obviously T-Mac is more flashy and more explosive, but CB4ALLSTAR <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Better shooter, better scorer, better defensive player, better passer</div>I don't know where you get that from, maybe a better scorer, I'd say their even with shooting and defense.

Woah there, that is a big misconsemption. T-Mac continuosuly comes up in clutch. In past 3 seasons, he is 8-22 I think, and his % is better than Pierce's. I'll give you some clutch moments in the past year:-Wins game 2 of playoffs with jumper with 6 seconds to go-Hits game winner against LA this season-Blocks JRich from 3 as buzzer sounds-Hits game winning shot vs Golden State-Hits game winner vs BullsThat is just off top of my head, I know there are more instances that I can't remember. He is just as dependable as Paul, and he can do something that Paul can't: Turn IT on. IT is the fuel a player has where he can turn it on for a good 4-5min stretch, and just destroy a team in that time single handedly. Kobe has it, T-Mac has it, Wade has it, and that's about it.As for FG %, T-Mac had over 45% in 2002-2003, and 2nd half of last year when he got used to system.I say T-Mac is far better just because he can do things a superstar can. Paul isn't there yet. You can look at stats and possibly make a case for Paul, but I still firmly stand by and say I would ttake T-Mac 10x out of 10.

I would say T-Mac but this has been the worst season of his entire career, so...

If both players are healthy, then one takes TMac. TMac has shown that he is a surreal player, with overskill that rivals some of the best ever. He is also incredibly underrated in the clutch, it's actually not even funny. It's quite pathetic how disrespected he is in the clutch actually. He had 13 points in 35 seconds last year against San Antonio, owns the Orlando Magic record for points in a playoff game, last year held Dirk Nowitzki to 33% shooting all while scoring 30+ PPG and hitting a gamewinner, and has hit several game winners over the coarse of his career.Alright, my ranting is over. Anyhow, McGrady has shown that when needed, he can be a Top 5 defender in the NBA. I don't care what anyone says, holding Dirk Nowitzki to 33% shooting in a playoff series in unprecedented, and if you watched that series you'd know TMac really was on Dirk 90% of the time. In terms of scoring, TMac has 2 scoring titles to Pierce's 0 (Although Pierce did lead the league in total points one year) and has always been a better scorer in their primes. He is an equal rebounder, and better passer. It's actually amazing how willing of a passer TMac is. Here's a great example: In 01-02, Tmac was playing with an Orlando Magic squad that had less talent than my high school basketball team. He averaged 5.3 APG, with only 21 Shots Per Game. Paul Pierce has historically been more selfish, but has really become a great passer this year, so I can't discredit that.So in conclusion, when healthy, TMac is a better scorer, equal passer, equal rebounder, but better defender. He is also a better playoff performer. He averages 30/7/6 to Pierces 27/8/5. TMac edges Pierce out when healthy, but it's so hard to compare considering TMac is injured so much

He isn't injured so much, just this year! Last year he played over 75 games!I like your comparison a whole lot, though. I don't know why people underrate T-Mac so much in clutch. In every playoff series he has been in he has played amazingly, and his team has let him down. And where the hell did this rumor come from that in his 62 point game his team lost?
