If Bayless was in this draft I would be surprised if he was not taken in the top-5. He is as big of a prospect any player out of B-G and Rubio in this draft. Heck - he might be a better chance at being a good NBA player than Rubio when all is said and done. I think Rubio is a no-lose prospect - but there are always big question marks about international prospects. Portland has the money, prospects, picks and willingness to pay that can help them move up in the draft.
We have enough talent at the core positions, we don't need to risk going for a home run in the draft. Find the sure thing PG in the free agent that meets our team needs.
I'd give Sessions a 4 yr/30mil$ contract. I think he would be a nice addition as long as he is dedicated to the defensive end. Edit - alright, well i might actually give him a 5yr/50mil$ contract... the kid is going to be a stud and future star and he is so damn young.
I'd either like to see Kidd/Miler/Bibby or Sessions. I'd be happy with any of those. I think Bibby and Miller would be a better fit than Kidd though, and Sessions is up in the air because of his restricted status.
We know, we know, KP's stupid... ... instead he should've been listening to old*edited: Disagree civilly*whothinkshe'sgodsgifttothegreenearth all these years! I mean, hell, this team might've improved a little bit during his tenure if he had. OH, WAIT... WHAT!? WE HAVE... !? SAY IT AIN'T SO!!!
Because of the ever crowding roster . . . I hope KP (and Allen) use the economic downturn to steal a quality PG from a team trying to cut salary. Blazers can thin out their roster by trading 2 or 3 reasonable contracts and using the trade exemption to get the perfect PG. I already threw out my pipe dream of Parker (any chance Duncan decides to hang it up or Pop gets tierd of Parker). I know KP liked Calderon and Toronto has got to be thinking about making some changes. NO's is obviously in deep financial trouble, but the city would revolt if Paul was traded. My point is I'm hoping KP can uses the Blazer pieces to exploit the financial hardships of some franchise.
Calderon would be a nice add. Not a fan of his defense, but his passing skills are amazing. What Sergio is at his very best moments, but all the time.
