Official game thread, Phil didn't even bother to come so he could rest his lower leg and get ready for the post-season.
Sorry for not making the thread. Hopefully Phil gets better and the Lakers win this one. I wanna see how Rambis does coaching the team. Go Lakers!
Woops i think there's a stat blooper... When Kobe re-entered the game in the 2nd qtr he was 1 -5 FG, his 1st attempt in the 2nd he was fouled by Pryzbilla, but they counted it as an attempt but gave him 2 FT's (he missed the 1st and made the 2nd), he ended up 1-6FG... why is that? Shouldn't they not count the attempt since he was fouled? i just noticed. you know me... "only" focusing on Kobe's FG%.
Nice three by Sasha at the end of the second to get back momentum, Rambis took out Kobe when they were making a run which made no sense and there was just a minute left. Looks like Kobe drawing double team left Sasha open too on the last shot of the second quarter.
Something is wrong with Fish too, he's 2/17 on his three pointers lately. All I want is for him to be able to his looks from the arc and make good decisions with the ball plus average defense. He's been getting wide open shots and is not draining them over the past few days. It makes me think if he feels completely ok? Dude might need some time off, Shannon is playing decent enough D as well.
Lamar's playing great for us tonight. Bynum is looking damn good for just coming back from 32 games off. I think we win this one guys!
Lakers getting beat up again to start the half. Can't do anything right. Not that I'm surprised we always struggle in Portland.
What a pass from Luke to Kobe for the and 1! That was amazing, Luke does do one thing quite damn well and very beautiful finish around the basket for Bryant. Kobe finds Brown in transition for the crazy lay up, we take the lead again 69-68.
Shannon hits a tough three after Bynum misses two free throws and Lamar gets the board. Sasha just got posterized by Rudy on the play before Shannon's three as well, we need Kobe back in there as soon as possible if we want to win. He's only played 27 and a half minutes, there's just 8:37 left in the game. We're down just one point, this will come down to the wire unless we can step up finally.
