I can't wait for this game. I feel confident that the Blazers will beat the Clippers and Thunder so all we need is for the Nuggets to choke on the Kings and we'll play for the division on Wednesday night. So let's step it up, Sacramento! My new favorite players are Spencer Hawes, Bobby Jackson, Beno Udrih, etc.

    Go Kings!!!!

If Denver wins in Sacramento, this could be a game where they sit their starters, which would be good for us positioning-wise. Either way, yes, I think this will be a significant game.

I don't see them doing that.

Yeah, if they had #2 locked up by the time they played us.

Portland can still finish ahead of Houston is Houston loses @ Dallas, right? Or do they automatically finish 3rd because they won their division?

Houston has the tie breaker over the Spurs, and division titles always get resolved in three-way tiebreakers first. If we were tied with them, they have the tiebreaker over us, but if we have a better record we will automatically be seeded higher whether or not they win their division.

So the Blazers are down .5 games to the Rockets.

The Blazers have 3 games left, the Rockets 2.

If Portland wins out that means they pick up .5 right there because they play one extra game. If Portland wins out and Houston loses to Dallas(not out of the question at all), Portland would slide to #3.

    Just need some luck.

If the Blazers win out, and Houston loses, Portland gets the 3rd seed, due to them owning the tiebreaker vs. San Antonio. If All three teams win out, San Antonio takes the third seed because they own the tiebreaker vs. Houston, and then Houston owns the tiebreaker vs. The Blazers.

    I think.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Almost got the Houston loss tonight. That would have been a great finish to the evening.

I can see SA losing one more game. They have a back to back @ SAC and @ GS, then finish the year against NO at home.

I think they drop one of those. Not sure which one though.

Because Utah lost tonight we are guaranteed no worse than the 7th seed.

Ugh.. depending on the worst team in the Western Conference to win that game is just brutal to think about. They're even worse than the Clippers, OKC, Minnesota and Memphis.
It'd be pretty sweet if Sacramento pulled it off, but they're in the Blake Griffin sweepstakes and have mailed it in.

With the big loss to the Clippers, I don't think there is much chance that the Kings won't have the worst record in the league:sigh:, so they can afford to beat the Nuggets for us. The Kings are a very bad team, but they do have a little talent still. Go Kings!

Yep. And I see Diogu had a decent game tonight. Go Diogu!!! Go Kings!!! Kings beat the Lakers this year. They can beat anyone. They beat the Mavs too! Looking at the schedule..... Kings actually beat Denver in their last meeting:

    http://www.nba.com/games/20090308/DENSAC/boxscore.html

With a Houston loss to N.O. or Dallas and a big win from Sac on Monday, we can get the #2 seed!

    Believe!!!!
