He hit two HUGE midrange shots in the 4th quarter and came up with the steal of the game. Plus, the entire team only turned the ball over 4 times. It happened on Steve's watch.

Amen on that. I was thinking the same thing. No way does another PG (from Philly) play better than that. props to SB

Ditto. The guy is solid, and clutch. Who needs another PG? Not us, we have one.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed Blake's outstanding game tonight. Without it, we would not have won this game. He brought it tonight, offensively and defensively. Props, Steve.

Steve has been playing out of his mind lately. Props to Blake. I gained a lot more respect for this dude when I learned how hard he takes losing, especially if he plays bad. I have ripped on him over the years, but somehow over the last 20 games of this season, he has started to win me over. There is something about players who play with their guts, and leave it all on the court.

Sergio played very well off of the bench in both halves. PG was a position of strength tonight.

blake came up big tonight but i'd still rather have nic out there in that situation for defensive reasons. at the end of games i still don't see what purpose blake plays out there at the end of games when brandon is dominating the ball. big shots tonight but i'm said to hear he told roy he doesn't want to shoot techs anymore, is the pressure getting to him?

because blake is a much better shooter than batum. put batum out there instead of blake and it's going to be easier for teams to get the ball out of roy's hands.

yea but if rudy is out there than he takes the place of blake. down the stretch, against a team with kobe, i'd rather see roy, rudy, nic, la and pryz/oden rather than blake. yes, blake can shoot the ball but the game is played at both ends and nic is a hellva better defender than anyone else wearing a trailblazer uni.

i'd even settle for pulling blake in a defense for offense move that many coaches make, except nate doesn't seem to want to even pull off this move.

tonight roy did as good a job as possible on kobe late in the game. kobe got by him on that one drive where roy jumped out and then tried to take a foul(that they didn't give him). other than that, roy was with kobe every step of the way forcing him to take long contested jumpers. batum could have done no better.

and i like having roy, rudy, and blake out there to close games because then there are two guys who are great shooters for when teams try to force the ball away from roy.

batum will get there eventually. but i don't think he's there yet.

Blake was great tonight, hit some timely shots. It makes the decision of bringing in a vet PG in the offseason that much tougher when he's already the starting PG for a up-and-coming team that's battling for a top-3 seed in the West.

Blake had a great game last night and completely out-played the Laker guards - especially Fisher and Farmar.

Blake (as does Rudy and Outlaw) still needs to work on hitting pressure FTs. Yeah, Roy misses FTs - but NOT late in the game.

Those two 4th qtr jumpers by Blake were HUGE, as they were in reply to Kobi scoring to bring his team close.

Just keep Blake and quit bitching about an upgrade. He is a role model, he likes it here, and he is a good point guard.

I'd love to see Blake as our long term solution at backup PG with Bayless blossoming and taking over the starting job in the near future. That would be ideal, but Jerryd's gonna have to get off the bench first.

Blake is Portland's top 3 point threat shooting 43% from deep. Having guys who can drop that bomb helps keep the lane open for Roy to drive. This threat makes him an effective offensive player even when he doesn't touch the ball.
