I can actually hear the trembling in his "voice" in that post.

    Well done, Rose Garden crowd!

man, i don't want Laker fans "liking" us. I'm not glad how he was treated at the game, we need to show class, but I'm glad he hates us now. we don't like them, they shouldn't like us. You think Duke/Carolina like each others? EFF that!

So does that mean he won't be coming to the Blazers' Championship parade?

But, the tables haven't really turned, have they? I mean, it's still the same venue...our venue. I'd say talk to us when the Blazers next play in Staples.

When have Blazer fans ever invaded Staples? There's always a ton of Laker fans when they play at the Garden, and they're usually very obnoxious. Very smug. Very rowdy. It makes it that much sweeter when we beat them.

And as for you pieces of crap I dealt with tonight, you can bet I'll be there at the Garden every single game the Lakers play there.

Quivering in fear again, no doubt. :biglaugh:

Like most Lakers fans, all whine and no spine.

I went once this year, I'm not going to Staples again for a Blazer-Lakers game in all likelyhood. Too many people trying to start fights, even just walking to your car and back. Its quite dangerous unless you're in a big crew...lots of trash and unprovoked shit talking. In the lower bowl I had no problems but when I was in the concours and going back to my car, all the trash came out in droves.

I'd rather watch at home. I can't stand bars either, Laker fans are just fucking annoying as hell.

There have been two recent incidents involving Los Angeles fans that make this guys complaints look petty. A few days ago a fan died from injuries sustained during a fight at an Angels game. Then yesterday a guy gets stabbed after a Dodgers game.

Anyways, this led to a discussion on ESPN radio here in L.A., on the show Mason & Ireland. The show hosts basically said that if you're going to a Dodger's game with a Giants jersey on you're basically 'asking for it' and going out of your way to draw attention to yourself. Mason even said that he thought wearing a Giant's jersey is just inciting (yes, the very word Phil used for a pregame highlight) the opposing teams crowd... Basically Laker fans think they can dress in Laker gear head to toe, act obnoxious all game long, yet whine like little bitches, like this jackass, if anyone returns the favor...

The hypocrisy is funny and sad at the same time. Anyhow, sorry to bump this, but the radio conversation just had me laughing out loud remembering this thread.

I've been thinking about this since the Laker game. The last two seasons I've attended every L*ker game at the Garden, and I will admit we are pretty harsh on the Laker fans. But for VERY good reason.

Bottom line? Instead of allowing THEM to be the aggressors, we have finally taken on that role. For years their fans have come in to our building and acted like half witted poser thug wannabes. We have dealt with it, bemoaned them, and been CONSTANTLY IRRITATED by them. No more. We have become the aggressors, because we have to, and they NEED to know they can't come here and get away with being punks in our fucking building!

So with that said - I will turn my venom up ANOTHER NOTCH next time they're here. I don't know how much higher I can go without inciting violence, but if that happens, it means I've won. They have no words, no ideas or thoughts to combat me.

It will NEVER be fun coming to the Garden EVER AGAIN for L*ker fans.

To be fair, it hasn't been fun to be a L*ker fan in the RG since April 14, 2004.:ghoti:

If the CraigsList poster is telling the truth, then I'm embarassed for the Blazers' fans that were so obnoxious. It should all be about being in a fun rivalry, so get over it.

There were Laker fans around me and they were fine . . . a very quiet older couple right in front of me (boy, they didn't say much), a woman a few rows behind me loudly cheering whenever the Lakers made a play, and a row of purple and gold down below us a ways (you should have see the blond with the spray on tan, white hot pants, high heels, boob job, and Kobe jersey) all cheering for their team.

Give me a break - we all just want to have fun, and rub their noses in it a bit but we shouldn't cross the line. It's a game, for god's sake, it's all in fun.

With all due respect, it's not about the polite Laker fans around you.. it's about the obnoxious ones around everyone else. If they want to dish it out, then they should expect some in return. If they're not being annoying and acting like fools then I would hope Blazer fans return the favor there as well.

I've been by Laker fans in the Rose Garden who would stand and taunt everyone around them EVERYTIME the Lakers scored, standing and puffing out their Laker jersey's, calling people names if they complained that they couldn't see, etc. I was the one trying to have fun, and I couldn't. So why don't you wake up and realize where the problem originated?

Okay - I hear ya. I was just saying I haven't personally seen that level of obnoxiousness myself - even in the bar where we were having good natured fun with a Laker guy at halftime. It's too bad if both sides are escalating obnoxiousness.

There's their problem in a nutshell.

Lakers fans are stupid, stupid, stupid.

Only an absolute moron (and I mean that in the most literal sense possible) commits acts of violence over a sporting event.

Trash-talking is lots of fun, and when done by fans with at least a measureable IQ it can be a surprisingly entertaining and creative discourse to engage in.

Sadly, stupid people feel threatened by witty remarks and other signs of intelligence, and respond the way they do everything else.

    Stupidly.

They really do have the lowest IQ I've seen from many fan bases, pro sports in general.

If cops weren't there to stop the riots, the Staples Center would have went down in flames.
