It's like Utah forgot how to play defense down the stretch ... I can barely believe this is a Jerry Sloan coached team.
It is sooooooooo bad right now for the Jazz that I have even stopped texting my Jazz friends to give them shit about it. After all the bad losses they have had to come out and get their asses kicked by a Golden State team that only had 7 players (Mostly bench players) available two nights in a row. A team that was so tired that they could barely finish the game. The Jazz let CJ Watson go off for 38. It was without a doubt the worst home court performance I have EVER seen for the Jazz or any other playoff team. And I enjoyed every minute. Jerry Sloan called out his players after the game saying that they were selfish. More interested in their individual offensive scoring stats than playing defense. He looked like a very old man tonight who just wanted to go back to his farm and drive his tractor. I would not rule out the possibility of him retiring if he thinks his team has stopped listening to him. They need to break up this jazz team. They have major problems.
Bayless, Rudy, Outlaw and a first round pick for Deron Williams. Just to help Utah start over. They can have Webster and Sergio, too, if they'd like. I'm feeling generous, since I feel sorry for Utah.
Actually if you have watched them closely they have not played defense all year. Not much last year either. They are soft down low with Okur and Boozer AND they don't cover the perimeter very well either because they pack it in to help out inside.
Yeah I agree they don't have any great individual defenders outside of Kirilenko, but they've always seemed to play decent to good team defense and play very physically, which tends to discourage most teams from pounding the ball inside.
Yes you did and this loss pretty much clinched it. With them playing the lakers on Tuesday rather than Wednesday, I see no reason for the Lakers to rest anyone. Plus at this point I think the Lakers would want to play the Jazz.
