I think he needs to go. Every time he gets on the floor he looks like he has no idea what he is doing. He puts forth no effort in blocking rebounding or scoring. How in the world di he miss that dunk last night? He has turned into a total bum. Then he complains about his playing time. He shouldnt be wining because he lucky to have that big contract. We should try to trade him this summer.
Don't even get me started on Dalembert! He is as dumb as a doorknob as far as his basketball IQ goes. He has no right to complain about playing time. He has a huge ego already, both from my personal point of view and from the stuff I've been hearing from within the organization. Since he came back from his injury, he has been horrible. Hunter is clearly playing 10x better than Dalembert is, and until Dalembert shows he deserves those minutes, he should ride the pine.Boy, that Dalembert for Joe Johnson trade that we declined last season sure looks appealing right now. But, I'd still wait on trading him. I think we should shop him around in the offseason, and see what we can get for him. However, I don't think we should trade him until we can get everything we can get in return for him... whatever that may be.
dalembert can still produce. but he's overrated. the sixers could get something better. but since they already have webber, iverson, and iggy they really don't need an awesome center. just one that hussles and grabs rebounds. that would be better for them.
Yeah, the Sixers need a center quickly, because two badly-needed positions in a playoff series are centers and point guards...
Yeah, man, even Damp is playing better than him, but I just think Philly needs to get 7th Seed and then they're okay.
yea dalembert is over rated and over paid, and he really does look clueless sumtimes on the floor lol
Despite all his boneheaded plays, he was playing quite well before he injured himself about a month or two ago. He is a player that plays well when the coaches have confidence in him. That was a big reason as to why he struggled at the beginning of the year last season with O'Brien's horrid benchings and player rotations.I think if Moses Malone continues to work with him over the summer, he will hopefully be better and ready to go next season.I also would like Billy King to shop him around, just to see what we could potentially get. I wouldn't deal him unless the deal is right though.
Sam Dalembert gets paid $10 million a year to play 27 minutes, avoid contact, not do anything offensivly, block 3 shots a game, get in foul trouble...People overrate this guy.

It was a huge gamble, and he looked pretty decent during the middle of the season, but since he was injured he looks like he doesn't even belong in the NBDL.He is extremely raw, has a very low basketball IQ, a poor work ethic, makes boneheaded plays, and relies only on his athleticism to get things done. What he really needs, besides a huge attitude adjustement, is a big man coach to work with him and try to improve his skills.
i know exactly how you guys feel, since one of the main reasons tyson chandler got overpaid was becuz Dalembert got so much money. In todays league, big men even if they blow still manage to get the big bucks just cuz there arent that many quality players with that size. Dalembert has had a lot of injuries though so maybe hes just having a bad season
I think we should give him one more season. And if he does not bust out, and plays like we expect him to then we trade him. Because it would suck if we trade him, and he ends up busting out.But we should see what we can get for him, and if it's something we can't refuse then of course trade him. Maybe Sammy, Korver, and our 13th pick for something? I wonder what we would be able to get for that?Any thoughts?
Hahaha, I agree with all you guys. If and/or when Sam learns WHAT TO DO when he plays (i.e. learn to catch balls, make the ball go through the rim, dunk right) he will clinch the Most Improved Player award.
Does this guy even have a basketball IQ? He's not tough enough, and if wants to stick around he needs to prove that he can consistantly be a threat on the defensive end, as well as a good scorer. Numerous times this season he couldn't even throw down a dunk correctly, plus after he lost his starting position due to injury, he got all shaken up about it. Tremendously overpaid, as well. Definitely needs to step it up.
There is one extremely possible reason not mentioned here that could be why King gave Sam the bloated contract. Last summer, he was a free agent. He was getting a lot of attention from many teams that had a bunch of cap room. I don't remember real good but I think Phoenix wanted him and maybe Atlanta too. My point; if he drew that much interest then, then he definitely would draw some interest now. With the huge contract, we could get some nice players for him. If not, hopefully someone like Malone or someone else could mentor him so that he could become a consistent starting center that could do the little things necessary to put forth a squad that could go deep into the playoffs.
Atlanta was interested in signing him to a maximum contract, and since he was a restricted free agent and we have a retarded GM in Billy King, we are lucky he didn't sign the offer and have it mached by that idiot King.Phoenix was offering Joe Johnson in a sign-and-trade for Dalembert... damn that deal looks really good right now.AIJJIggyWebberHunter

We should have done it of course our gm likes to think are players are worth way more then they really are when it comes to not so good players on this team. And when it comes to AI he under values him.But yea if only we would also got rid of Webber that team be actually decent. lol wow we got a dumb gm :thumbdn1:
