how about instead you provide one single quote of a current or former coach of his blasting him, after all you're the one claiming he strikes fear in them. Otherwise you've got nothing but the same tired pots shots. I can provide tons of quotes those former coaches of his lavishing praise on him... hell, his current GM is on record saying he has all the makings of a great coach himself. If you enjoy still enjoy this rut, PM you know who and have at it in private, but the rest of us have moved on. STOMP
I like have a player or two without a conscience, especially wing players. If they aren't on for a particular night coach can yank them and try someone else, but I believe in the power of the green light especially off the bench. A confident guy who can get his shot and is capable of filling it up is a powerful weapon. STOMP

Except JR Smith is now better than Outlaw. And he has range that extends out well past the three point line. JR Smith spreads the floor about as well as anyone in the NBA. Very valuable.

Phil Jackson has called out Kobe, Shaq, Rodman, Pippen, Rider...hell, is there anybody he hasn't thrown under the bus? (Including Bus.) What coach hasn't at some point publicly bitched about Iverson or Bonzi or Marbury or Rider? If I were coaching Sheed and I had a problem with him, I doubt I'd go to the media. Mostly because Sheed has "circle of trust" issues (aka, Robert DeNiro in Meet The Parents). But it's not like it's a coaching no-no to publicly call out a player to the media. Coaches have so little actual power that it can be a way to at least cover your ass, if not actually improve a situation with a player.
OK! OK! I freakin' stand corrected! All I was really trying to say, though, is that, like J.R. Smith, Rasheed is a tremendous talent...who can also drive his coach(es) a bit nuts at times. I mean, really, is there any real argument there? It wasn't necessarily a dig at Rasheed as much as it was simply stating a truism within the context of this thread.
actually Phil has said that he fears Sheed because of what he can do to bust up the Laker zone D. Larry Brown feared Wallace so much that after consulting with his brother Herb (who was a Blazer assistant coach before moving on to the Pistons), he urged management to trade for him... and then he won a championship. but what do HOF coaches know?
