What the hell happened to Utah. The world may never know. Glad to face this in the postseason though :]
id just like to say congrats to all my fellow Laker fans, this has been a really good season, the team showed how strong we can be by staying at the top all season long, now we will bring that strength into the playoffs and try take home that elusive championship. congrats to everybody here for making this season such an enjoyably one, to heuvon and lost one and mamba for their GT's, thanks guys, and all the rest of us here in the lakers forum, lets help our team get their rings!
I'm excited, I hope my "amazing" NBA channel which is in Russian language shows some games also, otherwise I'm gonna have to "legally" download them. I just hope that everything goes according to the plan and the title will be ours. (I especially wanna see Drew playing his heart out).
I think this is as pumped for a postseason as I've been since the year we had Malone and Payton on the team. I haven't felt this kind of confidence in our team to win it all since the Kobe and Shaq days. I really don't think there is a team out there that can match up to us. Our bench is so deep and we have more weapons on offense than most teams can handle. I just can't imagine losing to anyone, even if we have to face the all-might Cleveland LeBrons and their HCA. To say the least, if we don't win it all, it will be my most disappointing memory as a Laker fan, ever.
Eh, I'm not exactly sure. It'll rank up there though. Game 5, 2003, Spurs. Lakers make a comeback, Horry shoots a half court shot at the buzzer, rims in and out, we lose. Holy shit I still remember that day. I was young, and I was crushed. Thing is, our roster, if you look at other top teams around the league, is pretty stacked with young talent, or players in their prime. I'm picking us to win it all this year, but in the next five years, I would be very surprised if we don't win another. We have the right pieces on this roster to win multiple championships. But let's just take it one at a time. One series at a time, one game at a time
Kenny Smith mentioned the whole future of the Lakers last night, and I completely agree with what he said. I really do think we've got the potential to be representing the West in the Finals the next five years, at least. Our team is stacked with young talent, and we have Kobe and Gasol each in the primes of their careers, while the rest of the West has somewhat taken a step back.
