Mel Gibson is getting divorced from his wife of 28 years, Robyn. The couple have seven children and a grandchild. Supposedly their relationship was ruined by Gibson's DUI arrest and bigoted tirade a while back.

Per California divorce codes, laws, whatever, she is entitled to half of his assets. "Half" is expected to be in the neighbourhood of $450-million plus half of his residuals from projects he's completed to date thus far, forever. Among the assets to be divided is a private island in Fiji Gibson purchased for $15-million.

The two are expected to settle amicably instead of having a protracted court battle (MJ, Neil Diamond, etc.).

    Fair?

When does the man ever win? Technically, babies are squirted out of a male's penis. Not as much pain though.

Whatever, but doesn't a law like that encourage murder?

I mean, there aren't many people on Earth that wouldn't at least THINK about murdering someone for 200 million dollars.

    Edit, 450 million? Damn
