As mentioned before, Tom Penn apparently texted in to the 5th Quarter (according to one of the hosts) saying we'd have one.

We are co-champs of the division just lose out on the tie breaker for seeding. No?

That's the way I understand it. Congrats to the Blazers!

We lose the seeding for Denver - which is fine - but if we are a division champion and SAS are a division champion - why are we #4 and they are #3 - when we won our tie-breaker with them?

(Not that it matters - as bad as it is to face Houston - Dallas has an even bigger juju over us).

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Portland isn't "co-champions" in any official way, I don't think. I don't think banners are some official, league-approved thing. Teams can hang whatever banners they want. If Portland wants to style themselves "co-champions" and hang a banner, I think that's their choice. It just doesn't have any official standing.

    That's my understanding.

Totally. What's amazing to me is that on that team Kenyon Martin seems like a good guy. Kind of like how Zach Randolph seemed like a good guy when compared to the jailblazer teams before him.

I'm hoping we play again before that. But that's foolishly optimistic.

I dunno... I think Denver can make it.
