For all of you who have been at Blazers playoff games before, I ask you this. Will they bring back the fire for player introductions? I don't see how they can't! I remember how exciting it was with the fire and it just got the crowd PUMPED. I am sure a lot of you remember this, but it has been a few years.
I think I remember hearing on the radio when Wheels had the game ops guy on his show, saying the NBA restricted the fire thing because of an incident that happened in another arena. Though they do have several special things planned for the playoffs.
I remember that happening but never heard that restricted fire completely. Fuck you New Orleans! And your fucking retarded mascot!
Even if it wasn't for New Orleans, it wouldn't happen. The Blazers will never use fire to promote the team again because it reminds fans of the "Jail Blazers." That is why the torch is never on outside anymore. I got that from someone who works for the Blazers.
Wait .. I'm confused, didn't the fire leave the Rosegarden like 3 years ago? And why would you bring back a WNBA team for the playoffs?
I also think the Blazers kinda killed the effect after using it for a whole season.... or more.... I can't remember exactly.
